Sony announced features like ray-tracing, an 8-core processor, and a solid-state drive for the PlayStation 5. The next holiday season couldn’t come soon enough. The PlayStation 5 will be backward compatible, but what about its exclusive sequels? In the meantime, here are 10 game sequels we hope to come to PlayStation 5.
10Uncharted 5
Naughty Dog is one of the most ambitious developers when it comes to their intellectual properties. They’ve revived many of their hit franchises likeThe Last of UsandCrash Bandicoot,so they could do the same withUncharted.Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Endis recognized as one of the PlayStation 4’s best games for its stunning visuals and story-driven narrative. For those looking for an engrossing story, PlayStation is running out of choices. We can only hope they revitalize this epic game series.
9Spider-Man 2
Spider-Manfor PlayStation 4 is a revolutionary comic book video game. Never before had we seen a game with as much detail and scale asSpider-Manfor PlayStation 4. The idea of introducing a new suit could have been a disastrous venture. In the end, everything worked out because the outfit looks spectacular. Also, with an intriguing story and asmart picks for villains,Spider-Manon PlayStation works. There hasn’t been a formal announcement for aSpider-Mansequel, but Insomniac Games hasn’t ruled out the possibility.
8Horizon Zero Dawn 2
There is never a shortage of demand foropen-world role-playing games. One open-world role-playing game that surprised players around the world isHorizon Zero Dawn.Following protagonist Aloy, she uncovers her past while trapped in a post-apocalyptic world run by machines. Human civilization has been brought back to its primitive state.

We are eagerly waiting for aHorizon Zero Dawnsequel. The artwork of the original is spectacular—and the gameplay, phenomenal. With the original selling over 10 million copies, there is plenty of demand forHorizon Zero Dawn 2.
7Until Dawn 2
We already receivedThe Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, a game created by the developers ofUntil Dawn.We didn’t, however, receiveUntil Dawn 2.The Dark Pictures: Man of Medanwas exceptional in its own right, but it didn’t quite scratch thatUntil Dawnitch we were yearning for.
Until Dawn 2could follow the same formula as the first, bringing horror and a player-driven narrative that are knockouts.Until Dawn 2is the sequel that the PlayStation 5 needs to differentiate itself from typical action-adventure third-party exclusives.
6Bloodborne 2
From the creators ofDark Souls,Bloodborneis a third-person action role-playing game. Released in 2015, it is darker and more horrific thanDark Souls. It released as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4, which contrasts from other games from developer From Software.

Bloodborne 2would be excellent news for fans of the original.Bloodborne’s horror elements blend well with its gameplay. It would seem as if From Software is moving on to new projects, but it doesn’t hurt to hope that they revitalize this PlayStation 4 greatest hit.
5God Of War 2
It is somewhat redundant to say that the PlayStation 5 needs aGod of Warsequel.Since the PlayStation 2, every console has had aGod of Wargame. The game’s story-driven narrative combined with immersive gameplay makesGod of Warone of the PlayStation 4’s best games.
The decision to ad Kratos’s son Atreus to the mix could have been controversial. In the end, everything worked out, andGod of Warreceived countless awards. AGod of Warsequel could improve with more open-world exploration and more grueling boss fights.
4Ratchet & Clank
This unlikely dynamic duo is one of the PlayStation’s most recognizable pairs.Jak and Daxterdidn’t make the jump to the PlayStation 4, aside from a collection that was released, yetRatchet and Clankreceived a splendid remake.

PlayStation 5 is in dire need of more duos. Every hit console has its charming gaming duos, and that’s where PlayStation 4 has lacked in recent years. It would be too awesome to see a newRatchet and Clankcome to PlayStation 5, given that the remake was so successful.
3Killzone
As a launch title for the PlayStation 4,Killzone Shadow Fallwas not terrible, but it wasn’t the hit first-person shooter we were looking for. It seems like after the lackluster release ofKillzone Shadow Fall,PlayStation began relying on third-party titles to propel the platform further.
TheKillzoneseries has had hits throughout the years, which is why it could be time for its return on the PlayStation 5. Perhaps it shouldn’t be a launch title while the console works out its bugs, but we would welcome a newKillzonegame with open arms.
2MLB The Show 21
Although this sports game may seem like an outlier on this listicle,MLB The Showis still one of the PlayStation’s greatest exclusives. Developed by SIE San Diego Studio (a PlayStation owned company),MLB The Showshows technical prowess leagues ahead of the ball. Putting bad puns aside,MLB The Showis a phenomenal baseball gaming franchise. The player customization, including helmets and gloves, is spectacular.
We know thatMLB The Show 20is scheduled to release on August 11, 2025. We don’t know, however, whenMLB The Showwill be shifting to the PlayStation 5.
1Nioh 3
Right now, it’s looking as ifNioh 2will be another PlayStation 4 exclusive. This may come as good news for those not wanting to buy a PlayStation 5 at launch. Team Ninja’sDark Souls-like game was a massive hit with consumers. At this point, it is more hopeful thatNioh 3comes to PlayStation 5 than PlayStation 4. That is unlessNioh 2comes to PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility. It’s really up in the air at this point, and we will be giving you the details as soon as they are given.
