In a recent interview withEsquire magazine, Taylor-Johnson discussed his career and admitted that he started turning down roles in big franchises as his fame grew afterAvengers: Age of Ultron’s success. “I didn’t really care for them,” the actor says, “[I was up for movies] that nobody knows about— big, huge franchises that were in play.” The main reason for his separation from Hollywood? His growing family. At the time of his involvement with Marvel Studios, the actor had a two-year-old daughter and a newborn at home, to whom he wanted to dedicate most of his time.

The film, set to premiere in August 2024, will be in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, and it will follow Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff setting out on a mission to prove himself as the greatest hunter in the world.
