Pokemon Spotlight Hour is a weekly event inPokemon GOthat focuses on one specific Pokemon and increases its spawn rate for just a single hour. ThePokemon Spotlight Hours for March 2023takes placeevery Tuesday from 6 pm to 7 pmlocal time. For that hour, not only will the Pokemon appear more often, as we mentioned, but there are also special bonuses. And these bonuses aren’t just for catching the Spotlight Pokemon –it’s earned when catching regularPokemon GOspawns, too.

Eevee Spotlight Hour

The first Spotlight Hour for March has come and gone, but for those still wanting to know, the featured Pokemon was the first-gen Normal-type Pokemon,Eevee. The special bonus for the hour wasdouble Transfer Candy.Pokemon GOplayers can transfer Pokemon in their inventoryto make room for new catches. The candy earned can, of course, be used to power up or evolve stored Pokemon.

Can Eevee Be Shiny?

It’s also worth noting that out of all four featured Pokemon for March 2023,Eevee is the only one that can be shiny.

Rowlet Spotlight Hour

The next Spotlight Hour is on March 14 at 6 pm, focusing onRowlet, theGrass-type starter fromPokemon Sun/Ultra SunandPokemon Moon/Ultra Moon. The special bonus is double evolution XP.

Rowlet cannot be shiny.

Litten Spotlight Hour

After Rowlet comes the Fire-type starter from the Alola region, Litten. The Spotlight Hour kicks off at 6 pm on March 21. This Fire Cat Pokemon can eventuallyevolve into Torracat and then Incineroar. The special bonus is double stardust for catching Pokemon.

Litten cannot be shiny.

Popplio Spotlight Hour

And last but not least, we have the Water-type starter from Alola: Popplio. There’s double catch XP during the Pokemon’s special hour on March 28. Feed it candy to make it evolve into Brionne and then Primarina.
