Many have been wondering whatToy Day will look like in the newestAnimal Crossinginstallment, but it looks like it will operate similarly to past games. LikeNew LeafandCity Folk, Toy Day will land on December 24, and Jingle will pay the players' islands a visit. There are a ton of glowing and Christmas-themed decorations that seemingly can be crafted, and players can dress up like Jingle with the Santa outfit. If it follows the trend of past games, the Santa outfit will be sold in the month of December.
InNew Leaf, players were tasked with delivering presents to villagers dressed as Santa Claus, and it looks like players can expect the same event forNew Horizons. If the trend of similarity continues, players will also get hints from their villagers about what they want for Toy Day throughout the month of December.
InNintendo’s video highlighting the free Winter Updatethat will come toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers on November 19, Snowflakes can be seen floating through the air in a fashion similar to Maple Leaves and Cherry Blossoms. With Snowflakes, players will be able to craft chilly winter items like the Frozen Bed, Ice Wand, and a 3 Tier Snowman after acquiring the recipes for them in balloons.
Toy Day inAnimal Crossingwill be especially important this year. With cases of Covid-19 surging and many parts of the world heading back into strict lockdown procedures,New Horizonswill likely act as a way of spending time with family and friends while socially distant, much like it did during Halloween.
