To keep players entertainedApex Legendshas been working on plenty of content, however not all the ideas that have been implemented have been a success. The map rotation, which was implemented last week, has been met with backlash and Respawn Entertainment is making some changes as a result.
Apex Legends, like most battle royale games, pits teams against each other in an increasingly small area as they attempt to be the last squad remaining. Yet the issue with the map rotation was not the options available, but the logistical problems that players were encountering when they wanted to play.

Players could pick what maps they would use and as a result, there were long waiting times for preferred maps and many struggled with grinding through the Old Way Lore event. In response to these issues, Respawn Entertainment has quickly taken action to appease fans. The map Nighttime Kings Canyon is being removed and Kings Canyon will be available for a shorter amount of time. This is a drastic measure by the team behindApex Legends, which directly addresses the issues that were raised by players. Despite this, some players have responded to the news negatively as they were enjoying the Nighttime Kings Canyon and were keen to continue playing the map.
The Kings Canyon map is still available on ranked matches if players want to get back to it as quickly as possible. TheApex Legendsteam explained the reasoning for the move, stating that they hoped it “will allow players the chance to keep grinding that Season 4 Battle Pass or try their skills at the new Bloodhound Town Takeover.” Whileplayers often have complaints, it is reassuring that a developer has responded to the issue so quickly in an effort to please the fanbase of the game.
It will be interesting to see what new events and charactersApex Legendshas on the horizon. If the developer, Respawn Entertainment, continues to listen to fans as attentively as it has, players can expect somequality tailored content. In the meantime, there is still plenty to enjoy inApex Legendsand it will be a smoother experience thanks to these new changes.
