One feature fans have been asking for is the ability to change their character’s appearance. At the time of this writing,Baldur’s Gate 3players can’t change their character’s appearance after the creation screenin any permanent way, but it seems that feature could be coming in a future update. Larian’s Michael Douse indicated as much in a recent tweet, responding to a fan asking for the ability to change their character’s appearance by saying, “Things are being cooked.” While this is not a 100% confirmation that the feature is in the works forBaldur’s Gate 3, it seems safe to say that fans can expect to see it as part of a future update.
The ability to change a character’s appearance is at the top of manyBaldur’s Gate 3’s fans' wish lists, but there is one other issue that many would like to see addressed. While it makes sense in the context of the game, there are some fans who aren’t happy aboutBaldur’s Gate 3’s co-op restrictions. Specifically, fans don’t like how if a friend joins a game in co-op, their character stays on that save forever. It’s unclear if that will ever be changed or not, but Larian has shown a clear willingness to listen to fan feedback and make changes to the game.
