Lightning Charges are one of the equipment features that willhelp you diversify your battle. With one or more Lightning Charges, the character gains+1 to Attack Rolls and deals 1 Lightning damage. When you gain 5 or more Charges, your next attack will deal an additional 1d8 Lightning damage. But be careful, as with every turn, you will lose 1 Charge.
How To Get Lightning Charges
Since this is an equipment feature, you can receive Charges by wearing certain magic items. But it is worth noting that the conditions for obtaining Charges are different for each item. For example, Spellsparkler will give you several Lightning Charges fordealing damage with spellsor cantrips. Therefore, you should choose equipment that suits your strategy. How To Use Lightning Charges
Upon reaching 5 Lightning Charges, your character will automatically deal additional Lightning damage with the next attack. In other words,you cannot choose when to use this ability.Therefore, you must calculate your actions to cause as much damage as possible at the right moment.
Speaking of damage, Lightning Charges can be even more deadly if your enemies are Wet. This status is applied if enemies are standing in water, walking through mist, or when you get them in any other way. In this case, they will take double Lightning damage.
In addition, some items have synergy with Lightning Charges, causing characters to benefit even more from them. Some will give you passive bonuses while you have Charges, while others can consume these Charges for new abilities. Here are some examples of such items:
