Platinum Games recently re-releasedBayonettaas part of abundle with the sci-fi action gameVanquish. Considering this, it’s safe to say that many PS4 and Xbox One players are just discoveringBayonettafor the first time, and may not know how to do everything in the game. For example, someBayonettaplayers on PS4 and Xbox One may not realize that it’s possible to play as Jeanne instead of the titular Bayonetta, though they have to know how to do it.
In order to play as Jeanne inBayonetta, there are a couple of different methods that players can use. One method involves the use of a cheat code of sorts, whereas the other method is going to take some significant grinding. No matter which routeBayonettaplayers take, they should unlock Jeanne as a playable character by the time it’s all said and done.

Here is how to play as Jeanne inBayonetta.
1. Normal Method
The normal way thatBayonettaplayers can unlockJeanne as a playable characterin the game is by beating every chapter on Normal difficulty with a Platinum medal. This is definitely easier said than done, but it’s not too bad with some practice.Bayonettaplayers should play through the game once, complete all the chapters to the best of their abilities, and then go back through and replay the ones that they failed to get Platinum on.
2. Vigrid Telephone Cheat
The other way to unlock Jeanne as a playable character inBayonettarequires players to advance to Chapter 2: Vigrid, City of Deja Vu. Shortly after Verse 2, players will reach an era with three telephones. Players can input a cheat code while standing in front of the telephones to unlock Jeanne, though it will cost them 1 million Halos (Bayonetta’s in-game currency). The specific telephone thatBayonettaplayers will want to stand in front of is the one behind the pillar.
Players will hear a chime to confirm that the cheat code has been entered properly. Simply stand in front of the telephone and input the following commands:
PS4 - Up, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X
Xbox One - Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A
Either method works when it comes to unlocking Jeanne as a playable character inBayonetta. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if Jeanne is playable in theupcomingBayonetta 3, though PS4 and Xbox One owners should note that the game will be aNintendo Switch exclusive.
