Introduced as Izuku’s rival, Bakugo’s volatile personality and tendency to attack people for nothing suggested that the Class 1-A student would eventually find himself diverting into a life of villainy. However, that hasn’t happened, and Kacchan has grown a lot throughout MHA’s manga, five anime seasons, andvarious movies. The explosive Pro Hero’s popularity has also not waned, and that is reflected by theMy Hero Academia fanbase’s appreciation for afunny Bakugo meme.
11Bakugo, The Inspiration
For all the things Bakugo can be criticized for, nobody can claim he doesn’t put in the effort or that he lacks confidence. Kacchan was a big fish in a small pond before joining U.A. High School, and this transition took some getting used to. While he hasn’t always reacted well to being second best, Bakugo is fueled by competition and constantly strives to improve.
This meme captures the essence of Bakugo. Yes, the sentiment is kind of arrogant and speaks to his lack of interest in other people; however, Bakugo’s drive is undeniable. He wants to be the best and is more than willing to fight for it.
10The Wrath Of Bakugo
AsMy Hero Academiahas progressed, Bakugo’s overwhelming anger at themere sight of Izukuhas lessened, however, there is still quite a bit of animosity between the two. For a long time, Bakugo’s temper would instantly boil over whenever Deku did anything. Initially, this came across as a superiority complex stemming from Bakugo’s belief that Deku is less than him; however, the underlying cause of this anger derives from Bakugo’s resentment of Deku’s natural heroic instincts.
As hilarious as this meme is, it is also true and highlights Bakugo’s complex feelings towards Izuku.
9The Many Faces Of Bakugo
Like with most long-running animated shows,My Hero Academiahas a couple of moments when the animation is not quite up to scratch. For the most part, these aren’t all that noticeable in the grand scheme of things, but the anime does tend to give Kacchan the short end of the animation stick.

For better or worse, Bakugo knows what he likes and embraces it. When Class 1-A’s students were coming up with their hero names, Bakugo went with “Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight,” which is quite a mouthful. “Murder” is also an eccentric adjective for a hero to use, but it might strike fear in the hearts of villains (or confuse them for long enough to allow Bakugo to get the upper hand).
On the other end of the spectrum, Todoroki opted to just use his name, Shoto. While more mature, Todoroki’s selection was also inspired by his desire to reject his father, Endeavor.

Gordon Ramsay is one of the most intimidating individuals to ever enter a TV kitchen. He is also, like Bakugo, a meme goldmine. It was inevitable that the two would one day join forces. Bakugo even shares Gordon Ramsay’s love of putdowns, often questioning theintelligence of his classmates.
Tokoyami is UA’s resident bird person, and he is very much alive. Tokoyami and raw chicken do have other similarities. For instance, they both have the potential to become very deadly.
5Bakugo Goes Boom
Bakugo’s quirk is literally called Explosion. It allows him to secrete nitroglycerin from his palms and ignite it on command, leading to controlled, powerful explosions. Even the strongestMy Hero Academiavillains are unable to withstand Bakugo’s booms.

Bakugo strongly believes that anything can be solved by blowing stuff up. He threatens to blow up his classmates all the time, especially Deku. Bakugo is the first to jump into a fight, and this frequently gets him into trouble.

Bakugo’s face has stretched and warped into a lot of different expressions over the years. While most of the time his face is locked in a scowl, he sometimes expresses a sense of general confusion, as seen above.

The animators behindMy Hero Academiado a stellar job. They allow viewers to be able to know exactly what a character is feeling just by looking at them, especially Bakugo.
Bakugo is either yelling someone’s head off or completely silent. These two extremes require very different designs. When Bakugo is calm, his face is smooth and his eyes are slightly sunken. In anger, however, Bakugo’s face tightens, veins appear, and his eyes seemingly begin to bulge out of his skull. In these moments, he truly looks like his onlywish is for destruction and violence.
