The live-actionStar Warsseries that will focus on the Jedi first introduced to fans inThe Clone Warsis coming to Disney Plus in the near future. While there isn’t an official date for when production onStar Wars: Ahsokais starting or when it is going to be released, the show is adding to its cast with the addition of Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

There are still quite a few questions surroundingStar Wars: Ahsoka,including when the series might eventually launch on Disney Plus. What is known is that Rosario Dawson is slated to play the titular character, who made a brief appearance in the second season ofThe Mandalorian.Hayden Christensen is also going to appearingin the series, reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker.

As for Winstead, it’s not entirely clear what character she’ll be playing. According toThe Hollywood Reporter, it’s not even clear if Mary Elizabeth Winstead is going to be taking on a recurring role in the newStar Warsseries or whether she’s going to be making a one-shot appearance. In addition to Dawson and Christensen, Natasha Liu Bordizzo hasjoined the show as Sabine Wrenand Ivanna Sakhno is also attached in an unknown role.

Over the last few years, Winstead has been improving her bonafides as an action movie star both in an ensemble cast and on her own. She appeared in theBirds of Preymovie as Helena Bertinelli, who isotherwise known as The Huntress. Last year, she headlined the Netflix original filmKate, where she kicked the butts of more than a few enemies in a movie that also starred Woody Harrelson.

Winstead might be known best to a particular fanbase as Ramona FlowersinScott Pilgrim vs the World. Ramona was the character who happened to have seven evil exes who had all banded together to fight anyone else she might have a romantic interest in over the years. Though the movie first hit screens over a decade ago, it still has a strong cult following.

As forStar Wars: Ahsoka, in addition to just who Winstead is going to be playing, there isn’t a ton known about the plot of the upcoming Disney Plus series. With Anakin Skywalker being present, it appears the show could be set in a similar timeline asThe Clone Wars, where Ahsoka and Anakin will be working alongside one another, or perhaps there will be flashbacks to that time.

Star Wars: Ahsokais expected to begin production later this year.
