What Are Bullshit Cards & How Do They Work in South Park: Snow Day?
InSouth Park: Snow Day,combat happens to be key to the game, enabling players to team up with friends to take on the story campaignthrough a co-op approachor head out solo and have friendly AI bots jump in when you trigger battles. These battles are navigated by a series of mechanics that are available to your New Kid, such as special Powers and Power Upgrades, weapons, and the notorious Bullshit Cards,
As explained bluntly by Cartman when teaching your New Kid the ropes, Bullshit Cards are essentially power-ups that give you or your opponents an unfair advantage over one another in combat. When choosing a chapter to play through, your New Kidand the enemy will each draw a Power Card or two, as well as one or more Bullshit Cards, depending on the opponent you are to be facing off against. Each time you begin a chapter or a replay of a chapter, the options for both Power Cards and Bullshit Card will be randomly selected, presenting you with three choices to choose from.
Each Bullshit Card will have a specific perk that enables you totake your 3D combat to new levels- for example, the Super Size card, which enables your New Kid to become gigantic, bodyslamming opponents and doing AOE damage through your jump ability within a timed duration. Every Bullshit Card will also have an indicator of how many uses you can gain from it.
For example, the Super Size card has three uses per run.
When to Use Bullshit Cards in South Park: Snow Day
Because of their ridiculous powers, the mechanic of Bullshit Cardshas the potential to completely flip combat upside down, enabling you to pivot and turn things around completely. The first thing to consider after making your Bullshit Card selection is how many uses the card has, as you will need to be careful when you choose to expend these uses. Most importantly, it’s a good idea to leave at least one use of your card for the boss battle at the end of your chapter, as these characters will be the biggest obstacles to overcome, utilizing powerful attacks and Bullshit Cards of their own.
There is also a cooldown period after launching a Bullshit ability, so you’ll need to keep this in mind when choosing to use these cards. When casting a Bullshit Card, you’ll want to ensure you can actually follow up on these powerful moves and get value from them by wiping out enemies andsucceeding in the combat, so keep your eyes open and plan accordingly, looking for an opening in which you can get the ability off with success.
Bullshit Cards can also counter other Bullshit cards somewhat, as at the very least, both you and your opponent will have a ridiculous ability to use to your advantage, so if you find yourself getting into trouble, expending a Bullshit Card may help you stay alive long enough to finish off the fight.
