Back in 2020, Bungie placed someDestiny 2’scontent into the Destiny Content Vault, which includes various raids. TheDestiny Content Vaultrendered the content inaccessible toDestinyplayers for the time being while Bungie updates them and gradually reintroduces it all back into the game. While some players were upset by this decision, Bungie maintained that its decision to do so would benefit the game and the respective content.
The weekly Bungie update revealed new information on upcoming content heading forDestiny 2that comes with details on a variety of things. The update also revealed the Vault of Glass raid will be coming to the game with some improvements to it. Not only is the old raid returning in Season 14, but it will be updated to match the difficulty and current raid standards ofDestiny 2.

According to the update, when theVault of Glass comes toDestiny 2in Season 14, the raid will have several changes for players versus when it launched in the originalDestiny. Bungie will launch the raid with a Contest mode for the first 24 hours after it becomes available, and a run World First race, too. However, the update notes that since Vault of Glass will be a revised raid, the World First race will be different as well.
Any players who seek to claim the belt in the World First race for Vault of Glass will need to complete a list of challenging Triumphs on top of finishing the raid itself. The update doesn’t provide any details of the nature of the tasks players will need to accomplish for the Triumphs. It does say players who don’t win the World First belt will still have opportunities to earn a chance to purchase loot through Bungie Rewards.
The update also states that Bungie is looking to add aMaster version of Vault of GlasstoDestiny 2. Based on the results from the Master and Grandmaster difficulty in the Nightfall strikes, the developer is looking to add a Master difficulty for future Raid and Dungeon content forDestinygoing forward. However, Bungie will be taking its time to work out a sustainable structure that will allow the developer to release any Master versions closer together in the future.
According to the update, the development team will have more to say on the Vault of Glass raid before it launches. WhileDestiny 2is in the middle ofSeason of the Chosen, players can still look forward to the Vault of Glass raid’s return and its World First race in Season 14 this summer.
Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
