Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warhas added several new enemy types to Zombies, ranging from the splitting Megaton to the electric Tempest. However, the most unique addition is undoubtedly Mimics, and oneCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfan has shown their love for the enemy type via a statue made from clay.
Mimics made their debut in Firebase Z, and like their name suggests, they can transform into several items on the map. While they are most often seen taking the form of drops like scorestreaks and grenades,Mimics can also turn into perk machinesand Outbreak chests. Once transformed, they will hunt players down, with the larger creatures able to grab Operators using their tentacles. Alongside its unique attack, the Mimics boast a special design.

Coming straight from the Dark Aether, Mimics are an interesting transformation of the Keepers thatfeatured in maps like Revelations, Der Eisendrache, Zetsubou No Shima, and Shadows of Evil. Featuring a face similar to Margwas and Nova 6 Crawlers, the enemy type’s frail body and huge claws make it a unique monster for players to take on. Despite having such a complex and special design, Redditor AverageGaymer01 took on the tough task of making a replica of the Mimic. Fortunately, they succeeded, as the finished statue is stunning.
As detailed in the post, this was AverageGaymer01’s first attempt at making a sculpture. Despite some issues during baking that have led to the Mimic squatting instead of standing, the Redditor is proud of their hard work. Sitting 7.5” tall and made entirely out of Polymer Clay, the statue is hand-painted and full of detail. The purple mouth ofthe Mimic mini bossis easily noticeable, as are its sharp teeth. The skulls on its back stand out clearly as well, with the massive claws being instantly recognizable forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfans.
The sculpture looks just as impressive from behind and from the side as well, with players able to see the gnarly, puss-covered skin of the creature. The spikes on its back also get time to shine from these angles showing that AverageGaymer01 put tons of time and effort into his creation. One final touch sees the base of the statue adorned withDark Aether Crystals, which is a great nod to the covetedCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombies items.
This one-of-a-kindCall of DutyZombies replicais truly a sight to behold, and the player deserves tons of praise for their efforts. With three Seasons ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warstill on the way, it will be interested to see if AverageGaymer01 gets some new mini-bosses to sculpt.
