Activision Blizzard has kept theCall of Dutyfranchise going strong across multiple generations of consoles, and one fan has spotted a weird slot machine in Mexico that bridges the gap into casino games. While Activision Blizzard subsidiary King’sCandy Crushis known for being featured as a slot machine in some casinos,Call of Dutyisn’t typically associated with gambling until this strange find in Mexico.
A Reddit user has swiftly garnered over 100 upvotes on a photo of a weird slot machine that they claim comes from Mexico that portrays a multitude ofCall of Dutyimagery.Call of Dutyis a series that goes all the way back to 2003 and in that time, findings like this have been remarkably few and far between because there’s no official slot machine based on the FPS franchise. AsKonami is involved in the gambling industrywith multiple machines based on properties likeCastlevaniaandMetal Gear Solid, it may not be impossible for more publishers like Activision Blizzard to get in on the adult hobby.

Reddit user Annual-Consequence43 recently shared a photo of theCall of Dutyslot machine that they spotted outside an establishment in Mexico. The machine prominently focuses onCall of Duty: Ghostscharactersthat helped promote the FPS game that was released in 2013, which may suggest when this machine or its decals were created. Going beyond theCall of Duty: Ghostsart, the slot machine also features the primary logo and one ofCall of Duty Elite, an online service that was sunset by Activision Blizzard in 2014 and further illustrates the age of the yellow device.
Despite the imagery from theunderappreciatedCall of Duty: Ghostsand minimally usedEliteboth inferring that the yellow slot machine was made several years ago, it’s visibly lit up and seems to work as it should, with several numbers and character portraits illuminated by the many lights within. TheCall of Dutyslot device includes several buttons for players to alter the game slightly by using, with the fold and reward ones being pivotal to cashing out and two arrow keys necessary for switching between the on-screen options. The rest of the buttons are associated with typical gambling images like cherries and bars which are fittingly paired with numbers on the screen to give players an idea of how much their line is worth upon interacting with it.
Though thisCall of Dutyslot machine seems to use a decal to draw in more prospective gamblers, it’s also a proof of concept of what an official one may look like with the imagery around the display. Because the imagery of this slot machine doesn’t matchActivision Blizzard’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,Call of Dutyfans like Annual-Consequence43 may have a hard time finding a modern version of this casino game.
