Zombie Raid Mode
While many fans of the series are familiar with zombie modes from previous games, this is the first time players have seen a raid mode. The raid mode is pretty easy to access; tounlock the zombie mode, players just need to reach level fivein the game before it becomes available. Zombies mode can be played in classic Survival Mode or in Raid Mode. Survival mode is just like previous zombie modes, giving players endless waves of zombies to kill. Raid mode however, gives players a set number of levels before a boss spawns.
Raid mode is available in both Normal and Heroic levels of difficulty. Normal mode will hit players with 8 levels of zombies before the boss, but Heroic requires 12. Beating the boss in Heroic mode is obviously harder, but it’s not impossible to solo the boss if players have the right strategy. While it is suggested that players who want to get the most out of the zombie modes will need to use thenewly added controller functionality inCall of Duty Mobile, it’s not necessary to defeat this zombie boss.
How to Kill the Boss
There are tons of reasons whyCall of Duty Mobileis outdoing much of its competition, likeMario Kart Tour. The update that brought the zombie mode and raid is not only fun, but difficult in a way that makes this game addicting. The raid boss for both Normal and Heroic zombie modes is a gross-looking amalgamation of scorpion, alien, and giant crab. Its biggest weak point is its mouth, so ensure to aim there whenever firing at it.
The boss has several attacks that it can do, and also will get some help from adds. Of course some zombies spawn; luckily for players, most of these zombies will be fairly slow. To keep them in check, just run around the edges of the map; it will keep them grouped together in a slow moving circle in the center. If they get a little overwhelming, players canadd friends inCoD Mobileand attempt to build a great team for the raid.
Players also have to worry about the tentacles that spawn all over the map; they look like wiggly purple trees. They are fairly easy to avoid, but players can shoot them with normal rounds to get rid of them. Players can alsoslide inCoD Mobile, a move that may help get out of the way fast enough to avoid taking too much damage.
The crab-and-scorpion boss also has several attacks it does as well that players should look out for. It has some melee attacks that are devastating, so players will want to keep their distance. It has a ground-swimming attack that can only be countered by running away. It will also throw glowing skulls that have to be shot down. If players are having trouble staying alive during this part of the fight, they may want tolevel up fast with some fast leveling strats.
To defeat theCall of Duty Mobileraid boss, players will have to dodge all its many attacks while still doing a pretty significant amount of damage. Aim for the face of the boss when it’s open, firing any automatic weapon into the mouth area. Players should also utilize the rocket launchers that this game mode will provide in the weapon boxes.
