ForModern Warfare, the game is adding Gunfight: Snipers Only, Deathmatch Domination, “Stir Crazy,” and “A Little DIY.” While the snipers only Gunfight and Deathmatch Domination are self-descriptive, the other two are not. “Stir Crazy” is a 10v10 mode, with only small maps available. “A Little DIY” consists of the maps Scrapyard and Hardhat, although hopefully this time withoutthe invisible wall bug. As far asWarzonegoes, the only real change is the swapping out of Blood Money Trios for Plunder Quads. Infinity Ward has the full notes listed on its official Twitter account.

The new playlist update comes as a disappointment to someCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers, who have beenasking for permanentModern Warfareplaylistsfor several months. Another issue players are taking with the update isn’t so much about what it does have, it’s what it doesn’t. Players have made it very clear on Twitter that they just want Shipment and Shoot House 24/7 back. Many users responded directly to the game developer, declaring the game done for.

However, this could easily turn out to be nothing more than assumptions from disgruntled gamers. After all,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis currently the best-ever selling game in the franchise. In fact, there are many who believe that rather thanBlack Ops Cold War,Modern Warfaremay still be the real competitionfor next year’sBattlefield 6.It should be interesting to see what Infinity Ward does with the game after the multiple entries in the series blend together.

Activision continues its annual trend of releasing a newCall of Dutytitle, something the publisher has largely kept to October or November. While this year is no different in terms of a newCoD, the situation surrounding it is anything but.Call of Dutyis about to create a unified progression system, making all three games retain a sense of importance. Even thoughBlack Ops Cold Warhas the spotlight, itsbrutally low Metacritic scoremay signal developers to keep the focus onCall of Duty: Modern Warfarea bit longer.
