The gamer was playing offline with AI enemies and happened to notice that one was using a pistol that looked different from the others in the game. Once the enemy was killed, the pistol fell to the ground like any weapon. The appearance and name both resembled that of the Renetti pistol but became the Makarov when equipped. This is not the first time that a gun has been discovered by a player. The As-Val is a good example since it was datamined and revealed a few weeks before officially being added to the game.
