Leaks for the upcoming shooter have teased several major changes set to come to the sequel, with some claiming the game will add a firing range practice mode and even suggesting the game will be a"hard reset" with no skins carrying over. Now, the newest batch of leaks has players comparing it to a pastCall of Dutybattle royale mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2and its counterpart inModern Warfare 2have already seen plenty of leaks related to both the contents of the games and when they’ll release. WithModern Warfare 2currently set for a “Fall 2022” release window, past franchise trends suggest the game’s release date will likely fall in November with others implying the game’s major reveal trailer will come in early June. Now, a recent set of leaks shared by YouTuber NerosCinema suggests several changes will be coming toWarzone 2, comparing many of the features toBlack Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

The video uploaded yesterday by NerosCinema lists a number of changes coming toWarzone 2from a source claiming to have played the gameearly. According to the leaks,Warzone 2will play similar toBlack Ops 4’s Blackout game modewith several changes like loadouts being locked to challenge-based strongholds and requiring players to find armor through the game’s loot rather than spawning in with armor. Another major change suggested through the leaks is a “bag system” with players only able to carry a limited amount of inventory.

The leaks also mention a number of maps from past games that will be returning inWarzone 2including the originalModern Warfare 2’s popular Highrise map, featured in multiple pastCall of Dutygames, and a brand new map forModern Warfare 2.The new information also gives further updates tothe previously leaked firing rangecoming toWarzone 2with the practice mode reportedly showing damage numbers when testing guns, as well as being able to accurately assess a gun’s damage at different ranges.

The impending reveal ofWarzone 2andModern Warfare 2comes as theCall of Dutyfranchise already has plenty of new experiences in store for fans. Activision revealed earlier this year that it is working ona mobile version ofCall of Duty: WarzoneandWarzoneitself has seen plenty of new additions in recent months between the recent Godzilla and King Kong event and the Season 3 update.Warzone 2’s changes will look to give the game a unique feel from its predecessor and harken back to the popularBlack Ops 4mode.
