InHorizon Call of the Mountain, players are introduced to a new character named Ryas. He is a formerShadow Carja warrior, though he wishes to atone for his past. Players spend plenty of time with him, and they learn more about his motivations, and why he is willing to struggle so much for his pardon. He is a memorable character, which makes one wonder whether it would be possible for him to make an appearance in the nextHorizonmainline game.

AlthoughHorizon Call of the Mountainis a spin-off title, he could leap into the mainline games. He has shown himself to be an impressive climber, and he knows how to hold his own with a bow as well. He crosses paths with Aloy, so he is already familiar with her. As a treat to fans, Guerrilla Games could have Ryas assist Aloy as she takes on her biggest challenge yet.

Ryas, Horizon Call of the Mountain’s Daring Climber

Call of the Mountainis a unique title in the franchise, as it is the first entry to explore VR. Using the platform, developers have been able to make machine battles feel more exciting than ever, and traversing becomes a truly heart-stopping affair. Ryas is seeking redemption and Blameless Marad offers him a pardon if he can climb to the top of a perilous mountain and investigate a signal that is causing trouble.

After an adventure that has him tackling dangerous heights and battling a slew of terrifying machines, he eventually earns his pardon, which allows him to search for his lost brother. Ryas certainly cannot replaceAloy, who makes an appearance inCall of the Mountain. Nevertheless, he is an interesting new character whose story has plenty more to give. He does not need to be locked inside the world of VR, as he has what it takes to be a great ally to Aloy and her friends in the nextHorizongame.

How Ryas Can Feature in Horizon Forbidden West’s Sequel

Above all, Ryas excels as a climber. He reaches heights that would make others dizzy, and he is willing to make daring moves that put his life on the life. In addition to providing exhilarating VR gameplay, his adventure also gives players a great view of themassive Carja Sundom, allowing players to set their sights on previously unseen areas. He also proves himself to be a brave machine hunter, and he takes on massive machines on his own.

Aloy will likely be up againstNemesis in the nextHorizongame. If she wants a shot at success, she must rally as many people around her as possible. Ryas could be an invaluable asset to her team, as he could reach places others can’t. Furthermore, as long as he has a bow and arrow, Aloy doesn’t have to worry about him getting squashed by a machine. This would also be an amazing opportunity for players to learn more about Ryas and his murky past.

Guerrilla Games made a very adventurous move withCall of the Mountain, and it seems to have paid off, as it proved that the franchise could be successfully ported to the VR style. It also introduced an intriguing new protagonist, and this should not be the last players see of him. Alongside other characters like Zo andErend the Oseram tribesman, he could play a pivotal role in stopping Nemesis' deadly plot.
