Fans have been waiting quite a long time to learn more about WB Games Montreal’s supposedBatmangame, with numerous rumors over the years that it will be announced at one event or the other. Unfortunately, these rumors have consistently turned out to be false, and though WB Games Montreal has ramped up itsBatmangame teases, nothing official has been announced. However, a new leak may reveal why it’s taken so long for WB Games Montreal to properly reveal itsBatmangame project.

The rumor stems from a site called Geeks WorldWide, which is currently down for unknown reasons. GWW cites unnamed sources, claiming that WB Games Montreal’s originalBatman: Arkhamsequel was canceledat some point before its planned announcement at The Game Awards 2016. GWW’s sources also claim to reveal some additional details about WB Games Montreal’s canceledBatman: Arkhamgame, including the protagonist.

According to the report,Batman: Arkhamwould have been about Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s son. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard such rumors, as concept art for the project leaked last year, showing off Gotham City and a couple of villain designs.

Whether or not there’s any truth to these claims remains to be seen, and since the project was canceled, we likely won’t hear much about it. In the meantime, the new take onBatmanthatWB Games Montrealis apparently working on may still feature Damian Wayne in some capacity, though that has yet to be confirmed.

GWW’s sources point to the newBatmangame featuring a playableBatfamily, though the specific Batfamily members weren’t named in the report. Damian Wayne could very well be part of the lineup, but fans should wait for an official reveal before getting too excited.

As for when more on the WB Games MontrealBatmangame will be revealed, that’s tough to say. It’s possible that fans won’t see the game until E3 2020 this June, but it’s also possible that Warner Bros. Interactive will randomly drop a trailer one of these days. WithWB Games Montreal itself actively teasing the new project, hopefully more information comes sooner rather than later.
