Dead by Daylighthas had quite a year so far in 2020, introducing Pyramid Head and Cheryl Mason from theSilent Hillfranchise earlier this year and adding an original villain known as The Blight. Recently, the team over at Behaviour Interactive even released a new killer over on its Public Test Build, with the eerie Twins now officially playable for certain players.
As always, the hit asymmetric multiplayer game is continuing to make sure it’s adding new content for its previous killers and survivors as well, such as the Cybil Bennet skin for Cheryl Mason and a bunch of new looks included in its recent Halloween event. The newest outfit to hit the game arrived earlier today, however, withTexas Chainsaw Massacrevillain Leatherface (or The Cannibal, as he’s known inDead by Daylight) receiving his first cosmetic.

The skin is called the Old Lady Outfit and harkens back to the character’s terrifying big-screen debut back in 1974. As those who’ve seen the film will no doubt remember,Leatherfacehas several masks he dons throughout the film, with one resembling an old lady with blonde hair. The notorious outfit will make its leap to the game pretty authentically, with Leatherface’s new skin sporting the apron, shirt, and mask worn by the killer during his killing spree in the originalTexas Chainsaw Massacre.
According to Behaviour Interactive, it will cost a total of 1080 Auric Cells and can be purchased at the in-game store. As expected for a killer with such a storied legacy in horror cinema as Leatherface, the outfit is suitably unnerving, managing to replicate its on-screen counterpart pretty accurately. The villain of the seminal franchise wound up joiningDead by Daylightback in 2017, becoming part of a long line-up of popular horror antagonists to join the game’s roster. Other notable names includeNightmare on Elm Street’sFreddy Krueger,Halloween’sMichael Myers, and Scream’sGhost Face.
As forDead by Daylight,the game continues to build a huge community despite releasing all the way back in 2016. Adding new killers frequently, it has been a treasure trove for fresh horror content, as players grow excited to see what big names and new mechanics Behaviour Interactive can add to the title next. It also has a successful mobile counterpart, which recentlygot access to theSilent Hillcontent released for the main game back in March.
