Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror gameDead by Daylightis approaching its 5th anniversary. Popular as ever, the developers continue to invest in the game by adding new and exciting content, updating visuals and gameplay, and more. AsDead by Daylightramps up tocelebrateResident Evil’s 25th anniversary in game, it is also adding several ways to celebrate Pride Month.
While some may wonder whyDead by Daylightplans to add content for Pride Month, the developers have made it a point to be invested in its community. Over the past several years, Behaviour has even run contests forfan-made cosmetic designs to include inDead by Daylight. A large portion of theDead by Daylightcommunity, both on streaming platforms and off, identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and Behaviour has taken notice.

As Pride Month approaches to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community,Dead by Daylighthas revealed some ways it plans to celebrate. Already available is the new Rainbow Flag Charm, a classic icon of the LGBTQ+ community. Players can activate this charm to use on either Survivors or Killers by inputting the code “PRIDE” in the in-game store. For those that playDead by Daylight Mobile, there will be an event, Bloodhunt+ Week, from June 14-20. Players can earn double the Bloodpoints and character experience for playing during this week.
On August 04, 2025,Dead by Daylight’s Twitch channel will host the #IntotheRainbow livestream, which will seeLGBTQ+ Twitch streamers and influencersplay the game and share some stories. The livestream will also host a fundraiser for The Trevor Project, one of the biggest LGBTQ+ non-profits around that focuses on suicide prevention. On its own dime, Behaviour also plans to support a local Quebec-based organization that helps LGBTQ+ youth called Project10.
A big request from the fan community has been for the developers to add LGBTQ+ representation into the game. In this update, Behaviour announced it has partnered with GaymerX to figure out the best way to introducean LGBTQ+ character, or characters, into theDead by Daylightuniverse. Sometime during the month,Dead by Daylightplans to share an article of interviews with two Fog Whisperers, a community member, and a Behaviour employee about each of their interest in the game as a person in the LGBTQ+ community.
Overall, Behaviour’s prerogative to celebrate Pride Month in various ways is admirable, and it’s certainly appreciated by LGBTQ+ players of the game. As Behaviour continues to improveDead by Daylightthrough its “Realm Beyond” updates, and by adding unique content in each chapter, the game has a long life ahead of it.
