Chapter 16 is going to feature a “classic license,” a franchise that “has marked the world of horror since its inception.” What this horror partnership might be is anyone’s guess, as Behaviour isn’t dropping any hints, but it’s notable that movies weren’t mentioned at all in the tease. PerhapsDead by Daylightmight be getting a popular book orvideo game horror character.

As per usual, the new chapter will include a brand new map, a new Survivor, and anew Killerall in one bundle. While Behaviour doesn’t say so, it’s expected that all of it will be related to the new horror license thatDead by Daylighthas picked up.

To reiterate the importance of Chapter 16 andDead by Daylight’s anniversary, game directorMathieu Coteoffered a statement. Speaking about Chapter 16, Cote says that it’s an “emotional milestone” for him and the development team. “We’ve brought you a lot of really cool stuff this year and next year will be even more intense.”

Chapter 16 may still be a ways away from being released forDead by Daylight. Again, the broadcast where Chapter 16 will debut will air on March 26, which is still several weeks away. Behaviour clearly believes that this one is worth looking forward to, forDead by Daylightfans, and is making sure to announce it early. Now fans can spend the time between now and then wondering just what great horror franchise will be joining theDead by Daylightuniverse next.
