Ever since the shift to the seasonal model, Bungie has been making constant improvements toDestiny 2as well as the way seasonal content and story bits are delivered. This led toYear 4 inDestiny 2being one of the best in its history, and it bodes very well for the release of The Witch Queen expansion in February, and the launch of Season 16 too. However, the seasonal model has changed a bit since its introduction with Season 8, and the main differences reside in what players get from the Season Passes.
Season Passes inDestiny 2are not like most Battle Passes and similar things from other games, as they don’t exclusively come with unlockable items, but they also grant access to the corresponding Season. That didn’t change, but the various rewards offered with Season Passes did. For example, starting with Season of the Lost, players were not awarded a full set of seasonal armor with Season Pass ranks, but rather they had to get it by playing seasonal activities.

Another thing that Season Passes stopped including over time is ornaments for seasonal Legendary guns, something that came with Season 8 and was discontinued starting in Season 12. Thus,Destiny 2playerswould like to have them back now that sunsetting is not a thing anymore, considering it was likely one of the reasons that led to this change after the backlash Bungie got from selling Legendary ornaments in the Eververse store. But a Reddit user by the name of TheReasonYouExist did not give up on hope and shared a post asking players if they think Bungie should add Legendary ornaments back into the Season Passes.
The post gained a lot of traction, and otherDestiny 2players shared their ideas regarding how these Legendary ornaments could come back. A Redditor suggested that ornaments shouldn’t be made for new seasonal Legendary weapons and be released alongside them, but rather they should be made for weapons that are quite popular and not those that become meta for a Season and then fall off the radar. Another player stated that the Passes feel empty now, to which a Redditor replied thatSeason Passes should include Silver, at least.
This thread is just one of many that see players ask Bungie to change how things are handled inDestiny 2. An example comes from the fact thatDestiny 2players want an Adept Edge Transit for the vaulting of Forsaken, and while the idea is good, it doesn’t necessarily mean Bungie will do this.
Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
