This week, Bungie gave fans what they wanted with just tons of new details regarding Season of the Worthy. A new trailer revealed that one of the Psion Flayers escaped the Sundial and in a last ditch effort, hijacked the Almighty and set it on a collision course with The Last City. Players, with the help of Zavala and Ana Bray, need toprepare Rasputin’s defenses and power up the ancient Warmindthrough new activities and challenges.

Exotics have also been a hot topic in the community, first with the planned changes to popular weapons like Izanagi’s Burden. This week’s blog post also revealed that the developer has gone back in and tweaked many older exotics which the community has seemingly gave up on in favor of the better items. While there’s still a lot we don’t know, the few exotic changes and reworks Bungie did reveal for each of the three classes should add a bit of value to a merchant like Xur.

Speaking of Xur,Destiny 2’sroving exotic merchant is back inside of the game world for a limited time with a new set of exotics for purchase. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of Jul 31, 2025.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, Xur has managed to find his way back on Emperor Calus' floating barge over Nessus.

From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher’s Grave. Once loaded in, run forward until the zone opens up. The Golden Barge is floating nearby with Xur hanging out towards the back of the ship near the treasure chests.

Class Armor

Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:

Apotheosis Veil - Warlock helm

An item that has not graced Xur’s stock in quite some time, the Apotheosis Veil’s appearance is actually quite timely. Insatiable is its exotic perk, which immediately regenerates the player’s health, melee, grenade, and rift energy when activating their super. Nearby allies also recharge class abilities faster as well.

It’s a solid support exotic that isn’t dependent on subclass. It’s likely not great in all situations, but it could come in handy when playing difficult activities or even in competitive PvP modes. However, Bungie has identified this is one of the many exotics that have gotten a tweak next season, though it’s likely not going to affect any players right now. Going forward, when this exotic drops for the player, its going to be a guaranteed +16 Intellect. Not bad and likely a reason why players may want to hold off spending resources on this item for this weekend.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Lucky Pants - Hunter boots

For better or worse, the Lucky Pants are back in stock. These have been appearing quite frequently and as for now, not much has changed. Its intrinsic perk, Illegally Modded Holster, loads one round into the chamber of stowed hand cannons after a precision hit. In addition, hand cannons ready faster and have a bonus to accuracy after switching to them.

So the recommendation remains the same for now as well. Considering that the perk is so dependent on a single type of weapon, it’s not going to be for everyone. Obviously, players who favor hand cannons may want to take a look at these as they may be a viable option, especially withso many hand cannon exotics availablein game.

Helm of Saint-14 - Titan helm

One can’t help but wonder if this choice was done deliberately or was just an accident considering Saint-14’s Season of Dawn is wrapping up in a few days. The Helm of Saint-14 exotic is made for Defender Titans, this helm is more of a support tool thanks to its intrinsic perk. Starless Night blinds enemies that enter Ward of Dawn while also giving allies an overshield when they pass through it. For those who don’t want to use the Ward of Dawn, guarding with Sentinel Shield blinds nearby enemies as well.

Another solid exotic choice for Titans, especially in PvE style content thanks to the Weapons of Light damage buff and Starless Night blinding effect. It basically guarantees safety for the player and the rest of the fireteam. At the very least, you can get a chuckle with this item by equipping it and then going to see Saint-14. He’ll havea unique conversation ready to goas you approach him. It’s kind of a poetic way to close out Season of Dawn.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Exotic Weapon

The once fabled Prometheus Lens, destroyer of killstreaks and melter of faces, is back with Xur this week. Prismatic Inferno is its intrinsic perk which makes the weapon fire a Solar beam and generate a damaging heat field that grows while the weapon continues to fire. Its other unique perk is Flame Refraction which returns a fraction of the ammo used to the magazine from reserves, extending the beam’s duration.

While it’s no where near as strong as it waswhen it first arrived to the game, Prometheus Lens isn’t picked all that much as the go to exotic for PvP matches, but it remains a viable choice and is still fun to use in most PvE style game modes.
