Running around with a pack of wild animals as a Druid inDiablo 4has a certain charm to it; not only are the class' companions capable in a fight, but they also have the ability to buff the Druid’s own combat abilities. This results in many different builds that revolve around the synergies certain skills have with companion powers.

One such build involves turning the normal wolf companions into full-blown werewolves, and it’s perfect for players who want to live that beastmaster fantasy in the world ofDiablo 4. This is made possible by one specific Legendary Aspect that can be a bit hard to get.
Diablo 4: How to Get the Aspect of the Alpha
The Aspect of the Alpha converts normal Wolf companions intoWerewolves that deal more damageand can inflict Rabies, which is essentially a Poison DoT that can spread between enemies. Unfortunately, this cannot be unlocked in the Codex of Power, and players will have to get lucky with their legendary item drops.
Aspect of the Alpha is an Offensive Aspect, which means it can roll on gloves, amulets, rings, and weapons (including off-hand Totems). Running Nightmare Dungeons might be the best way to farm for Aspects since there’s a very high chance of getting a legendary item at the end of every run.
However, when legendary gear farming, players shouldalways participate in Helltides; the Tortured Gifts of Mysteries chests that appear in each region have guaranteed legendary item drops. These cost 175 Aberrant Cinders to open, and only a limited number of these chests spawn during each Helltide.
Alternatively, players can gamble their Murmuring Obols away by visiting the Purveyors of Curiosities found in all major towns. The drop rates of legendary items here are high but not guaranteed.

Best Aspect of the Alpha Builds
This legendary power works best with builds that revolve around extensive use of companion animals or ones that have Werewolf skills. Variants of the Toxic Shredder build that use theAspect of the Blurred Beastare especially good with Werewolf companions since it allows players to teleport between poisoned enemies without having to use the Rabies skill themselves.
