5-Star Legendary Gems are the most powerful gems inDiablo Immortal, providing significant amounts of Resonance and Combat Rating alongside unique effects. While it is possible to obtain these gems by feeding Legendary Crests into the Elder Rift, that option is not really available to free-to-play players. That said, there are a couple of ways that free-to-play players can get 5-Star Legendary Gems inDiablo Immortal, though both of them require considerable time investments.
As a quick point of clarification, 5-Star Legendary Gems are a classification of gem, and they do not always have five stars. Indeed, it is possible to find a5-Star Legendary Gem inDiablo Immortalthat has two stars, three stars, four stars, or five stars, and the Resonance and Combat Rating that they provide increase as the star count does. However, the special effect provided by a 5-Star Legendary Gem remains the same regardless of their stars, which means that they are reasonably powerful at all counts.
Diablo Immortal: How to Get Free 5-Star Legendary Gems
Crafting
The first option for obtaining a 5-Star Legendary Gem as afree-to-play player inDiablo Immortalis to try to craft one. To do this, players must earnFading Embers, a currency that is awarded for running Elder Rifts. More specifically, fans can earn 200 Fading Embers per week by completing Elder Rifts and an additional 120 per week by completing Elder Rifts when grouped with a player that is using a Crest.
This currency can then be given to theFading Embers and Runesvendor that is next toDiablo Immortal’s Elder Riftin exchange forFa Runes. Players that want to attempt to craft a 5-Star Legendary Gem will need 22 of these Runes, and they cost 18 Fading Embers each. Notably, that is a total of 396 Fading Embers, which means that it will take fans more than one week to earn the requisite amount.
With 22 Fa Runes in hand, players can speak with theApprentice Jewelerin Westmarch and select “Craft.” This will bring up a number of options, one of which is to crate aRandom Legendary Gem. The random gem that is generated in this way can be a 1-Star, 2-Star, or 5-Star, andARPGfans that are feeling lucky can click on “Craft” to start the process.
To note, the chance of crafting a 5-Star Legendary Gem is extremely low, and players that engage with this mechanic will almost always get a 1- or 2-Star. It is thus recommended that fans spend some Fa Runes on crafting 1-Star and 2-Star Legendary Gems directly before they start gambling large amounts on random gems. Indeed, crafting lower-quality gems requires far fewer Runes, and they can still provide a power boost in the early stages of the end-game.
Marketplace
The other option for free-to-play players that are hunting for 5-Star Legendary Gems to pursue is theMarketplace. Indeed, fans frequently put their unwanted gems up for sale, and Platinum, the currency that is used to buy them, can be obtained withoutmicrotransactions inDiablo Immortal. Here are two ways that players can earn free Platinum, though they should know that it will take quite a while to get enough to buy a 5-Star Legendary Gem:
