The fourth major update forDisney Dreamlight Valleyis out now. This update adds a new Star Path along with some new characters to bring to the village. While there are no new updates for the main story, there is plenty to keep players busyuntil the next updatelater this year.
A new series of Realm Quests were added in Update 4 forDisney Dreamlight Valley. Players can unlock and enter the Lion King Realm to bring back characters like Simba and Nala. The first one that players will be able to bring back is Nala, and here is how to complete her quest ‘Eyes in the Dark’.

Unlock the Lion King Realm
to start this new quest, players will first need to unlock the new Realm.Just like with the Toy Story update, go to the castle and examine the door to the left of the Frozen Realm.It will require 10,000 Dreamlight to unlock the new realm.Completing duties can help players get more Dreamlight if they are short. Upon unlocking the new realm, players will get the new quest ‘Eyes in the Dark’.
Talk to Nala
After the cutscene ends, approach Nala and talk to her. She is wary at first, but isn’t against accepting help. She is being pursued by Hyenas, and she needs help losing them.
Scattered around the dried-up oasis are what looks like dead Night Thorns.Pull out the Royal Shoveland dig them all up. This will spawn a seed that can be picked up.
From there, move toward the ledge and plant seeds into the five holes. Water them, and they will immediately grow into large bushes. A cutscene will briefly play, and Nala will return.
Leave the Oasis
With the Hyenas temporarily dealt with, Nala needs help finding a way out of the dried-up oasis and back toward the jungle where Simba is. Approach the cave entrance and use the shovel to remove the stump blocking the path. Go through the cave and talk to Nala in the jungle. She asksDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers to search the other side of the river.
The only way to cross the river is by using a log as a bridge. Unfortunately it is inaccessible. To fix this, go down toward the left side of the waterfalland use the pickaxeto destroy the rock. This causes the log to fall into place.
Talk to Simba
Go up the log and proceed along the path to find Simba. When talking to him,say ‘hakuna mata’. From there, follow him down the log and listen to his conversation with Nala to proceed to the next step of the quest.
Find Bugs for Nala
Nala is hungry after dealing with all the Hyenas, and Simba has an idea for a meal. He asks players to find bugs, as that was what he ate during his time in the jungle. Go to the nearby river and use the fishing rod tocatch three Slimy Bugsfrom the orange circles.
Next, go back to the dried-out oasis and look for glowing spots to dig.Each glowing spot will spawn two Colorful Bugsfor players to pick up. Dig all three spots to get six of these bugs.
Finally, return to the spot where Simba was found.Dig up the tree stump to spawn six Red Bugs.These bugs move fast, so players will have to move fast to catch all six of the Red Bugs. They do not despawn, so players have time to catch them all.
Cook a Bug Platter
Despite the fact that these bugs were eaten raw inThe Lion King, players will have to cook the bugs into three Bug Platters. Fortunately, the rocks with the glowing green liquid near Nala and Simba can be used to cook the Bug Platter. Bring the Bug Platters to Nala to advance the quest.
Return to Dreamlight Valley
Before long, the Hyenas return in a much larger group. In order to scare them off, players will need to find some way to make it sound like there are more than just two lions in the jungle. Leave the Lion King Realm and go talk to Scrooge McDuck.
Naturally, Scrooge has a solution for this problem. He has a Sound System that he gives to players for free, but the catch is that it needs to be repaired. Luckily, it isn’t very difficult or time-consuming to repair it.
In order to repair the Sound System, players must gather 10 Softwood, 5 Hardwood, andcraft 2 Iron Ingots. After obtaining these materials (assuming that players don’t have them already), head to the nearest craft station and repair the Sound System.
Give the Sound System to Nala
For the next step of this quest, go back to the Lion King Realm and talk to Nala. The Sound System works like a charm and the Hyenas flee. Nala is intrigued about the village and wants to see it for herself. Just like with all the other characters from realms, she will need a place to live.
Pick a Spot for Pride Rock
Go back to Dreamlight Valley and find a nice large spot to place Pride Rock. Once a spot has been picked, use the sign to talk to Scrooge McDuck. He agrees to spruce up Pride Rock for 15,000 Star Coins. If players are short on Star Coins, there are manymethods for farming it quickly. To finish the quest, talk to Nala near the fountain in the Plaza.
