Rice and its seeds are native to only one biome in Dreamlight Valley, i.e., Glade of Trust. Therefore, players will need to unlock the biome first, which is located on the left side of Peaceful Meadow. For those who have never visited this biome first, the route will be blocked by Giant Night Thorns, which can be cleared using 5,000 Dreamlight.
Once unlocked, players can enter the biome and buy rice seeds from Goofy. A bag of rice seeds costs 35 Star Coins, and players can plant them in any biome. It takes around 50 minutes for rice seeds to grow into rice, but players can significantly reduce this time by planting them in the Glade of Trust biome.
Next, players will need to get a fish. Luckily, Maki is not a picky dish and doesn’t require any specific type of fish, allowing players to use any fish they want. Some options include pike, herring, cod, carp, and rainbow trout. Most players prefer rainbow trout as it can be easily caught in water bodies in Peaceful Meadow and Forest of Valor. It would be better tobring along a companionwith fishing skills to improve the chances of catching fish.
The last ingredient, Seaweed, can be caught by fishing anywhere but at the ripples. After collecting all the ingredients, Dreamers can head to a nearby stove and begin cooking. Maki can be sold for 148 Star Coins, which is acceptable for a three-star recipe. In addition, players can also consume it toget a 471 energy boost.
