The numerousGroup Dungeonsare some of the most fun and challenging things to do inThe Elder Scrolls Online. Players team up with three others and form a group consisting of a healer, a tank, and two DPS builds and carve their way through large groups of enemies, taking down powerful bosses along the way.

The Elder Scrolls: Onlinehas a multitude of Group Dungeons for players to test themselves, providing challenge and enjoyment even for veteran players. Every dungeon is worth trying, but there are some that stand out among the rest due to their unique setting, exciting bosses, and interesting mechanics.

10City Of Ash 1 & 2

Players will enjoy coming back to these two dungeons again and again thanks to their exciting setting. The dungeon pits players against the forces of Oblivion, who have invaded aBosmer tree citybuilt out of enormous graht-oaks. The city, made almost entirely out of wood, is ablaze - making it a gripping scene for fighting back the Daedric hordes.

The tide turns in the second version of the dungeon. This time, players venture into the Deadlands - the burning, lifeless wastelandof Mehrunes Dagon- and must fight through that infernal realm to rescue an elf’s wife.

9Blessed Crucible

The Blessed Crucible is a gladiatorial arena taking place in Daedric ruin, surrounded by hot lava. Players must fight waves of enemies to win the tournament, but it all goes wrong when the group is accused of cheating after some potions are thrown into the arena to aid the group.

Players must then fight their way out of the Blessed Crucible, facing numerous monsters and waves of enemies, eventually becoming its Champion in a final blazing battle against the Lava Queen - only then will players be free of dungeon.

8Blackheart Haven

This pirate-themed dungeon is set in a gorgeous tropical cove, where a band of pirates is hiding out in its lair. Players are tasked with aiding a pirate who wishes to leave the gang, but first, he wants to steal some magical artifacts from the captain.

It turns out that the captain is actually a skeleton, cursed due to a pact with Molag Bal. In the final fight against Captain Blackheart, players might find themselves transformed into a skeleton too!

7Vaults Of Madness

Travel to Coldharbour to brave the Vaults of Madness, home of a powerful lich known as the Mad Architect. Players must weave their way through this insane labyrinth to free the trapped souls of the Architect’s enemies.

The dungeon involves a thrilling, seemingly-endless fall through a misty chasm, and promises some exciting elements in the final battle against the Mad Architect - including a spell in which he shatters every window in the room, raining deadly shards of glass on any player outside the shield.

6White-Gold Tower

This dungeon serves as an epilogue of sorts to the game’s main quest line and revolves around a final attempt by Molag Bal to restart the Planemeld and take Tamriel once and for all. Players fight their way up the White-Gold Tower alongside Empress Regent Clivia Tharn to stopthe Daedric Prince- but there’s a twist.

White-Gold Tower runs concurrently with the Imperial City zone story, both of which are worth doing once players have finished the main quest line, so they can end the threat of Molag Bal once and for all.

5Depths Of Malatar

This group dungeon was added by theWrathstoneDLC pack, and is a creepy Ayleid ruin occupied by worshipers of Meridia. Players must fight some horrifying bosses, including the Scavenging Maw, which is unlike most boss fights in that it periodically vanishes before stalking players in a maze-like storeroom, striking unexpectedly at one of the group.

The dungeon’s final battle against the Symphony of Blades features two stages - in the second stage, once its health has been reduced to 10%, it will transport the group toMeridia’s plane of Oblivionfor a vicious finale.

4Lair Of Maarselok

In this dungeon added by theScalebreakerDLC pack, players must fight againsta powerful dragonthreatening to destroy theforests of Elsweyrand Valenwood with a terrible blight, aided by the forest spirit Selene.

Unlike most dungeons, the Lair of Maarselok features only one boss: Maarselok. However, players must fight him three separate times, and each time the battle is unique and presents players with different challenges. He is eventually defeated in a grand struggle atop his roost.

3Selene’s Web

Prior to Selene’s efforts to defeat the dragon Maarselok, she was a Bosmer changeling and priestess to the spider-goddess Shagrath, and features as the final boss of her own dungeon. Players help a group of Mage’s Guild scholars bind Selene’s spirit, but not before they must defeat her in a bitter struggle against her spider form.

However, once her spider form has been defeated, Selene emerges as a Bosmer, now much more powerful and with nearly four times as much health.

2Falkreath Hold

Fans ofSkyrimwho desire a bit of nostalgia would enjoy this dungeon, which takes place in the city of Falkreath. It is part of theHorns of the ReachDLC pack, and revolves around an invasion of the city by a tribe of Reachmen led by the minotaur Domihaus the Bloody-Horned.

Players must fight their way through the burning city to break the assault, cutting through the streets and the Hall of the Dead before finally reaching the Jarl’s Hall, where Domihaus makes a dramatic entrance. After defeating him, in a nod toSkyrim, the player is named Thane of Falkreath!

1Coral Aerie

This beautiful dungeon was added by theAscending TideDLC pack, and is worth doing for the sights alone. The dungeon showcases the splendor of the Summerset Isles, with stunning beaches and lagoons and gorgeous Aldmeri ruins.

The setting is a refreshing place to fight through waves of Ascendants and coral monsters. The dungeon also features a unique boss fight in which the group will periodically find itself caught in a monstrous whirlpool, which risks splitting the group apart to be picked off one-by-one by yaghras.
