Any group that goes in without a leader is asking for trouble inEvil Dead: The Game. There is nothing more helpful to a deadite than getting location pings on survivors when fear gets high and potentially taking over a host as a result. Every team should probably have one.

But which one? Every team composition will be looking for different abilities and factors, of course, but there are certain leaders inEvil Dead: The Gamethat make teammates a bit more excited than others. Do what feels right, but this seems to be the community consensus on what works the most consistently.
Effect
The Lord’s Wrath
When activated, this ability increases the damage inflicted by your melee attacks and those of your nearby teammates, in addition to reducing fear levels; if Lord Arthur has a sword, he inflicts extra damage.
Weapon Master: Heavy Attacks
You and all teammates within the aura’s radius deal increased damage with heavy melee attacks; start the match with a sword.
Weapon Master: Light Attacks
You and all teammates within the aura’s radius deal increased damage with light melee attacks.
Fuel The Fire
If you perform a finisher while The Lord’s Wrath is active, the ability lasts longer.
Arthur brings up the rear for several unfortunate reasons. Melee-focused attacks are a fine way to play the game, but there just isn’t enough synergy here. Ash’s aura boosts all damage and Annie’s boosts all ranged damage. It takes Arthur two abilities to boost all melee attacks.

The incentive to play with a sword and starting with a sword are barely even boons. The starting weapon is often replaced with a better one within the first minute of a match. And Arthur will sometimes be forced to pass up on better weapons to try and keep his skills relevant. He’s a great melee attacker and may appeal to some players, but his disadvantages are rather pronounced compared to the other two options.
Hit ‘Em Where It Hurts
When activated, this skill increases ranged damage from Annie and any teammates who are near her.
Howitzer
You and all teammates within this aura’s effect radius deal more damage with ranged weapons.
Haymaker
Attacks by you and your teammates within this aura’s effect radius cause more damage to the balance bar of basic evil units.
Slugger
Attacks by you and your teammates within this aura’s effect radius cause more damage to the balance bar of elite and boss evil units.
Annie is a leader that is very frustrating to play against as a deadite. From level one, her entire team’s ranged damage is increased. This forces her enemies to get in close. But if she’s leveled up, then she’s also made it so her team can knock opponents off-balance.

Finishing moves and scripted attacks are more than just a lot of damage, they give the attacker a chance to regenerate stamina and become briefly invincible. She does need tocoordinate with a group of friendswho agree to focus on ranged attacks, but if she’s controlled by a good communicator, it’s all over.
Show Up And Blow Up
Active skill that generates an explosion, damaging enemies’ balance bar.
El Jefe
An aura that affects all survivors within range, increasing their fear resistance and the damage they inflict.
Start the match with a chainsaw.
El Jefe Grande
Enhances your aura’s effects when you perform a finisher or dismember an enemy.
The other two leaders seem to shoehorn teammates into playing a certain way. It’s Ash’s versatility that makes him so valuable. His aura increases damage from all sources, so no teammate will be truly left in the dark.
His third skill, the free chainsaw, isn’t anything too interesting since better melee weapons are found within a few moments in each match. But his other three abilities are rock solid, especially the level one active ability that lowers enemies’ balance bars. It makes opponents easier to finish. A finish makes the aura stronger. There’s just an incredible synergy here thatplaying with friends from all platformscan appreciate.
