Final Fantasy 7was the first game to introduce the concept of Limit Breaks, andRebirthallows players to use a variety of them to deal quite a significant amount of damage.
Unlike some of the other mechanics in the game, Limit Breaks will be available by default for the characters. They can be considered Ultimate attacks, which take a while to charge up and can be used todeal tons of damage at once. Players will be able to see their Limit meter fill up right beside their ATB charge bar and it is yellow in color. Once the bar is all filled up, players will be able to use their Limit Break.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Use Limit Breaks
To use it, players simplyopen up the action menu and head to the Limit tab. A list of available Limit Breaks can be seen there, and players can choose the one they want to use. To charge up the Limit Break bar faster, all players need to do is keep attacking nearby enemies. It takes a while, but eventually, it will start glowing and that’s when it’s time to unleash the attack.
How to Unlock All Limit Breaks
Limit Breaks can be a bit tricky to understand at first, considering that there are several aspects to using them. There are three levels to Limit Breaks, and level 1 is unlocked by default.To get to level 2, the player will need to use Synergy Abilities in battle. While usingSynergy Abilitiescan take them to level 3 as well, there is a catch. For level 3, players will need tounlock the level 3 Limit Break first. For that, the requirement is to reach level 9 and max out the particular character’s Folio. Here are all the Limit Breaks available in the game.

Healing Wind
Summon a soothing breeze to restore a moderate amount of HP to allies.

Planet’s Protection
Entreat the planet’s favor to nullify physical damage dealt to all party members. Can only be used once per battle.

Rising Fury
Channel the rage in your heart to fill allies’ Limit gauges.
Fire in the Hole
Catastrophe
Marshal all your strength and channel it into a concentrated beam of energy. Significantly increasesStagger.
Satellite Beam
Rain beams of light down from the heavens to annihilate an enemy. Significantly increases Stagger.
Magic Mogbox
Use the moogle to throw a box of tricks at an enemy and find out what’s inside.
Mega Magic Mog Box
Use the moogle to throw an enormous box of tricks at an enemy and find out what’s inside.
Giga Magic Mogbox
Use the moogle to throw a mind-bogglingly big box of tricks at an enemy and find out what’s inside.
Cross-Slash
Damage your foe while making an ominous symbol with your slashes.
Ascension
Focus on a single enemy and deliver several powerful strikes. Significantly increases Stagger.
Finishing Touch
Evoke the power of a raging cyclone to annihilate the enemy.
Blood Fang
Charge forward in an animalistic rage, bathing in foes’ blood and restoring your HP and MP.
Wrath of the Land
Shatter the earth and red an enemy with your ferocious fangs. Significantly increases Stagger.
Somersault
Launch an enemy high into the air with a Zangan-style swift kick.
Meteor Strikes
Align your body and mind, then pulverize an enemy with the force of a falling star. Significantly increases Stagger.
Bloodbath
Unleash a flurry of blows that deals a large amount of damage.
Inexorable End
Unleash an unrelenting onslaught of blows that deals a large amount of damage. Significantly increases Stagger.
Devastation
Pierce an enemy with a secret ninja technique. Significantly increases stagger.
All Accessories That Affect Limit Breaks & Where to Get Them
Additionally, another way to increase the Limit Break level isby using accessories. On top of that, some accessories also improve the rate by which the Limit Break gauge fills, so that can be quite handy as well. Here are all the accessories that are tied to Limit Breaks.
Enhanced Draconic Ring
Increases max HP by 5%. Increases the limit gauge charge rate upon successfully blocking.
Reach 31,000 points in theG-Bike minigamein Chapter 12.
Silver Brawler’s Gloves
Slightly increases the limit gauge charge rate upon staggering a foe.
Gi Warrior’s Charm
Increases the limit gauge fill rate by 10%.
Can be obtained in the Cave of the Gigi inChapter 10.
Spectral Cogwheel
Fills the limit gauge after consuming MP.
Complete the Access Denied challenge in the Musclehead Colosseum in Chapter 8.
