Final Fantasy 14’sDawntrailexpansion includes a host of new content - including new items for sale from Bicolor Gems Vendors in theDawntrailRegions, such as mounts, minions, and Framing Kits. While Bicolor Gems are not a new currency inFinal Fantasy 14, there have been changes to how players can unlock and earn them in this expansion.

The Dawntrail Shared FATE System

Similarly to theShadowbringersandEndwalkerexpansions,Dawntrailuses the Shared FATE system and its Bicolor Gemstones for item trading. However, unlike other expansions,Dawntrailhas 4 ranks for each merchant to unlock.

How To Earn Max Rank For Every Bicolor Gemstone Trader in Dawntrail

Players will need to do a minimum number of FATES in each zone to increase their rank with the relevant trader. Once all zones have been increased to Rank 4, the traders inSolution NineandTuliyollalwill unlock. To check their current progress, players can open the Shared FATES Log under the Travel Menu and then navigate to the last page.

While it may be tempting to dive into FATE farming straight away, it is much more efficient to unlock flying in the zone first so players can reach FATEs quickly.

The best things to buy with Bicolor Gemstones in theDawntrailexpansion are theTurali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. Once players get 500 of these, they can be redeemed withEdelinainMor Dhonaforthe Ty’aitya mount.

After this, the best purchases will likely be theexclusive minions, Trading Cards, Framing Kits, and Orchestration Rolls. This is because many of these items are not obtainable by other means. Some of the highlights include:
