One of the most hotly anticipated games and remakes from Square Enix prior to its release wasFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. There has been no shortage of love for this ever-popular entry of theFinal Fantasyfranchise, thanks to many iconic characters, features, and story beats. This game has been exclusive to PlayStation consoles for the past few years, much to the ire of a few fans who don’t own the console. This is doubly so consideringFinal Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade’s exclusive contentbeing only available on the PS5, combined with the console being hard to obtain nowadays.

PC fans, however, were recently given a break, asthe PC version ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewas finally revealedat The Game Awards, after being mentioned in several leaks. Square Enix not only announced that the remake will be coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, but it will be theFinal Fantasy 7Remake Intergradeversion to boot. This includes the game’s visual upgrades, as well as Yuffie’s INTERmission DLC, so players won’t be missing anything from this release.

To ensure players are able to play this upcoming port ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, Square Enix revealed the minimum and recommended PC Specs that fans will need to play the game. Regarding the game’s minimum requirements, the PC needs to have an Intel Core i5-3330 or an AMD FX-8350 processor built in, with a memory of 8 GB to run it. To get the game running rather smoothly, the suggested processor for the PC are either the Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, with a recommended 12 GB RAM for optimal performance.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s file size is still quite massiveon PC, taking up about 100 GB of space, so fans might need to clear some space off their drive or need an external one for the game itself. The game’s graphical requirements were also listed, needing either a GeForce GTX 780 or Radeon RX 480 with a minimum of 3 GB of VRAM. For players wishing to get the best graphics andIntergrade’s visual upgrades, the recommended graphics cards are GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX 5700, along with 8 GB of VRAM.

It looks like PC gamers will only be able to get the game off theEpic Games Storefor the time being. However, Square Enix hasn’t mentioned this being exclusive to it, so it’s possible that PC fans may seeFinal Fantasy 7 Remakecome to other storefronts like Steam at some point in the future.

Final Fantasy 7 Remakeis available for PS4 and PS5, and will launch for PC on December 16.
