Most of the mini-games inFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2are unlocked naturally as players make their way through the main story. However, there’ll eventually come a point where players run out of new mini-games, making it impossible to progress without the assistance of a specialFive Nights at Freddy’stool known as the Faz-Wrench (or an out-of-bounds glitch, for those who know how to pull it off).
First introduced inFive Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach - Ruin, the Faz-Wrench will appear on the table to the left of the computer terminal in the hub world once players have completed sixteen mini-games. However, unlike the Fazerblaster and some of the other items that appear on the aforementioned table, the Faz-Wrench actually has a practical use, allowing players to open a previously locked door and unlock newHelp Wanted 2mini-games.
How to Unlock Hard Mode in Help Wanted 2
In order to unlock more mini-games inHelp Wanted 2, players will need to gain access to Hard Mode. To do so, they’ll need tocomplete sixteen mini-gamesand thengrab the Faz-Wrenchfrom the table near the computer terminal in the hub world. They’ll then want to teleport over tothe orange machine in the cornerusing the left analog stick and insert the Faz-Wrench into the steel dial to the right of the broken tubes. It’s then a simple case of turning the wrench back and forth so that the lights stop in the blue sections of the unbroken tubes, which willunlock the metal doorto the player’s left.
Once the door is open, players should teleport over to the Princess Quest 4 arcade cabinet in the secret room andgrab the handle on the strange device, whichSecurity Breach - Ruinplayers will recognize as an AR Inhibitor. Those who didn’t play the DLC and thus do not understand the significance of this device can instead turn their attention to the large poster on the wall behind it, which reminds employees totake off their masksonce they clock off. Now that the machine has been deactivated, players can reach up toward their faces and grab using their controller’s trigger to reveal that they have been wearing a V.A.N.N.I. mask this entire time.
With the mask now removed, players will see that they are actually in the remains oftheFNAF 6location.Accessing the computer in the hub world without the mask will grant access to a bunch of new mini-games, most of which are considerably harder than those found up to this point. Players can switch between the two sets of mini-games whenever they like simply by putting on or removing the V.A.N.N.I. mask, which, once removed, can be found on the table to the left of the computer terminal. Some of the Hard Mode mini-games inHelp Wanted 2will only become available once their normal mode counterparts have been completed, so players should keep this fact in mind.
How to Unlock Hard Mode Early in Help Wanted 2 (Secret Room Glitch)
For those who’d prefer to start playing Hard Mode mini-games right away, it’s possible to glitch into the secret room with the AR Inhibitor. To do so, players will need to teleport into the area with the orange machine and walk to one of the corners of their play area. They can then flick the right analog stick left or right so that the locked door is directly in front of them and walk forward until they reach the opposite corner of their play area. From here, they’ll want to turn their body around 180 degrees and then flick the right analog stick left or right four times so that the in-game character is once again facing the direction of the metal door.
Those having trouble navigating through the static should use the sound of the AR Inhibitor to guide them.
After passing into the door, players will be faced with a bunch of static, but if they keep walking forward, they’ll eventually find themselves in the room with the AR Inhibitor, allowing them to deactivate the machine and remove their mask just as they would if they had they accessed the area legitimately using the Faz-Wrench. This method can also be used to get out of bounds in a few other places, such asleaving the hub world via the emergency exitor accessing the secret area with the Memory Puppet plush in the Office: Puppet Master mini-game.
