Fortnitedeepens its season lore by giving players interesting quests related to its storyline. During Chapter 5 Season 2, gamers can find out everything about the Myths & Mortals season by completing Snapshot Quests related to various characters in the Battle Pass.
Players who have already completed The Oracle’s and Aphrodite’s snapshot can move on to Cerberus’s as of April 23. This guide will help fans get through all of the stages of Cerberus’s Snapshot Questline so they can finish and move onto Medusa’s.
Cerberus’s Snapshot Questline
Here are the various stages in Cerberus’s Snapshot Questline and an explanation on how to complete each and every one of them:
Quest
How to complete
Stage 1 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with Cerberus
To start Cerberus’s Snapshot questline, gamers have to communicate with him by visiting one of theScrying Pool locations inFortnite.
Stage 2 - Eliminate anything to see if they took the Artifact (20)
To help Cerberus locate the Artifact, gamers must complete 20 eliminations of any kind. This means that creatures, enemy players, and other characters will count towards the quest’s progress.
Since each Olympian Boss spawns guardian minions, players can farm boss battles and take out enemies easily.
Stage 3 - Find the Artifact:
Players will have to visit three separate locations to complete the third stage of the Cerberus Snapshot questline. Each time players get to one of the locations, they’ll trigger Stage 4 of Cerberus’s Snapshot. However, they must visit all three landmarks and dig up the Artifacts for each one. Here’s where:
Optional Stage - “Defeat Ares and Zeus! They took the Artifact!”
If you’re wondering what happens if you complete the optional stage in the Cerberus Snapshot questline, we’ll tell you all about it. This quest asks players to defeat both Ares and Zeus. However, this doesn’t have to be accomplished during the same match. And, thankfully, gamers can defeat the same boss twice, and it’ll complete the quest. This might be patched in the future, but for now, the easier way to complete the quest is to defeat Ares twice.
Since gamers have to bring Zeus’s health down to zero twice to properly defeat him, it’s much easier to eliminate Ares, leave the match, and then re-do it.
Stage 5 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with Hades
Visit one of the Scrying Pools to talk to Hades and find out more information on the Artifact’s whereabouts.
Stage 6 - Defeat Cerberus to gain his tracking abilities
Next, players will have todefeat Cerberusat Grim Gate so they can get access to his tracking skills.
Stage 7 - Follow the scent of and collect the Artifact
Once gamers have the medallion on them, they will have to head to Pleasant Piazza so they can track the Artifact’s scent - its scent will start near the fountain in the main square. Then, they’ll have to follow it as they get closer to it. Here is a video demonstrating how to follow the scent of the Artifact inFortnite:
Stage 8 - Return the Artifact to Cerberus’s dog house
Once players have found the Artifact at Pleasant Piazza, they’re going to have to bring it back to Grim Gate and place it near Cerberus’s bowl, which is located on the top floor of the building on the northern part of the POI.
Stage 9 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with The Oracle
To complete Cerberus’s Snapshot Quests, gamers have to return to the Scrying Pool so they can talk to The Oracle, which will turn them in Medusa’s direction.
Cerberus’s Snapshot Rewards
As usual, players will be awarded10,000 XP for each Snapshot Quest milestonethey accomplish. On top of this, they will also receive a Cerberus-themed spray, just like they did for completingAphrodite’s Snapshot Quests.
Once players complete all of Cerberus’s Snapshot Quests, they will get theCerberus Insignia spray, a unique item exclusive to this season. Gamers can try to get them all by finishing as many season quests as possible before theend of Chapter 5 Season 2.
