Marvel’s Spider-Manhas already featured several iconic villains from the franchise’s rogues’ gallery, but it remains to be seen if the Green Goblin will ever appear in Insomniac’s series. With such a storied history, though, he would surely have a big impact on theMarvel’s Spider-Manuniverse if he did debut.

The Green Goblin has one of the most iconic looks in Marvel comics, with the villain’s terrifying green mask and purple headwear allowing him to stand out from other Spidey antagonists. However, there have been some divisive redesigns of the character, such as hisPower Rangers-like armor in the Sam Raimi films and his transformation into an actual Goblin in the Ultimate universe. As such, it’s not too surprising thatFortnite’s traditional Green Goblin look has been well received by fans - and some even want it to inspireMarvel’s Spider-Man’s take on Green Goblin.

Fortnite’s Green Goblin Resembles The Marvel’s Spider-Man Style

As shown in a Reddit post from uncledaryl,Fortnite’s Green Goblinhas received praise for striking a balance between techy gear, armor, and the old school design. Given that the classic Green Goblin attire is similar to the original Vulture look in the sense that it is not very protective, modernizing the costume is a necessity. According to this Redditor, several commenters, and the 2,400 gamers that upvoted the post, it seems like Epic Games nailed this transition, and many would apparently like a similar costume inMarvel’s Spider-Man.

A version of Green Goblin that closely resemblesFortnite’s interpretation of the character would make sense due to the other villains that have been shown in Insomniac’s universe. Scorpion’s tech-focused armor, for example, has a very similar look to what is shown with theFortniteGreen Goblin design. Rhino, Vulture, andTaskmasterare other good examples of Insomniac’s modern designs, as they all mix tech and armor together to make some more believable costumes for the villains.

If Green Goblin ever does debut in the Insomniac series, it would make sense if his look was similar to the one fromFortnite. However, it remains to be seen if Norman Osborn will actually become the villain, as the character already has a comfortable position as the mayor of New York City. While his son Harry potentially dying atthe hands of Spider-Mancould provoke him to don the mask and make some pumpkin bombs, it remains to be seen if Goblin is actually in the cards for a future entry in the series.

Regardless,Marvel’s Spider-Manfanshave made a strong case for something like theFortnitesuit to appear if Insomniac does use Green Goblin. The battle royale game’s costume boasts all the traits of an Insomniac character design, keeping the most important aspects of the original look intact while updating the design to fit a more grounded universe. While fans still have battles with Venom and Kraven to get through first, perhaps they will get to clash with aFortnite-like Green Goblin down the road.
