Wonder Womanstar Gal Gadot recently revealed that she is eager for Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney to come together to do an epic crossover event between the DCEU Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With superhero mania taking over the theatrical scene, DC and Marvel Studios have fans constantly anticipating what comic book story they will bring to the big screen next. While DC and Marvel Studios films can’t crossover quite as easily as the comics, Gadot seems down to seeWonder Womanand the Avengers cross paths on the silver screen.

Gadot shared this during a recent interview withAccessat D23 Expo to promote the upcoming live-actionadaptation of the classic princess taleSnow White. This was prompted when the interviewer asked the star if she’d ever be open to portraying a Marvel character even though she is also a part of the DCEU universe. “Maybe we can do something like, you know,Wonder Womanappears in theAvengersand theAvengersappears inWonder Woman," Gad said in response. “We’ll see, I mean I’m open. I’m all about love and I like my friends both in DC and Marvel. So we’ll see.”
Gadot isn’t the only DCEU star to share their appreciation for the idea of allowing the DC and Marvel universes to crossover.Newcomer Dwayne Johnson, who portraysBlack Adam, has shared that he believes that the crossover is more than possible. In fact, Johnson even goes as far as to state it’s“not a matter of if, but when in regard to a Marvel and DC crossover movie, and he believes both worlds should collide one day.
Although there’s no concrete confirmation of a crossover project in the works right now, withthe DCEU rebranding in full effect, a crossover with the extreme success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might just be the breath of fresh air the studio needs to get back on the track it wants, as it shifts gears to more theatrical projects instead of small screen adaptations. Marvel and DC Comics have done crossovers in the past, but when it comes to a big screen event there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes in regard to character rights, which could be major roadblocks for a crossover film like this.
However, considering how massive a production this would be, there’s a great chance the studios could pull it off if everything goes smoothly. Nonetheless, at least in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the multiverse is wide open, making the possibilities of who can appear practically endless. So maybe, just maybe, fans will receive aMarvel and DCEU crossover event.
Wonder Womanis now available on HBO Max.
