AGenshin Impactplayer has created an interesting chart that shows the most popular characters in the game based on YouTube views on their demo videos. The game keeps expanding its playable roster and the ongoing version 3.5 already added a new five-star character named Dehya who appeared on multiple occasions during the Sumeru storyline.
She won’t be the only new character to arrive inGenshin Impactupdate 3.5 as HoYoverse confirmed that the second banner cycle will include the four-star Cryo user Mika. Even though Dehya was released just a couple of days ago, the game’s official social media accounts already announced two new roster additions for 3.6, the owner of the Bubu Pharmacy known as Baizhu, and the famous Sumeru architect, Kaveh.

Reddit user PeachJellyPudding has created an interesting chart that shows the most popular characters from each region, based on how many views their character demo attracted on YouTube. According to the chart, the most popular character in the roster is the Geo Archon Zhongli who arrived in update 1.1 which dropped back in 2020. The game’s official storyline has revealed that Zhongli is the oldest out of theSevenGenshin ImpactArchons. When it comes to his power on the field, he’s probably the most flexible character on the roster. The Geo Archon can create the strongest shield in the game which makes him a must-have for many types of team compositions.
The most popular Mondstadt character is the Cryo user Eula who was released inGenshin Impactversion 1.6. She’s one ofthe fan-favorite Cryo userswho still holds the record for the highest recorded damage number in the game. Unlike most DPS characters, Eula’s strength lies in dealing Physical damage which gives her more flexibility when choosing the right team comp.
The Anemo support Kaedehara Kazuha is the most popular Inazuma character, even though many players expected Raiden Shogun to be on top of the list. Similar to Zhongli, Kazuha is one of thestrongest supports inGenshin Impactwhich was also proven by the recent Spiral Abyss usage charts.
Many fans claim that Tighnari being the most popular character in Sumeru is probably the biggest surprise in the whole post. He was part of the first Sumeru update which also introduced the new Dendro element. Since then, he’sjoined the less popular Standard Banner, and it’s highly unlikely that Tighnari will be featured on another Limited Character Banner in the future.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
