After trying to pray to the Statue of the Seven inGenshin Impact, Eide will notice a Hilichurl walking toward the Chasm. He panics as he thought it’s Caribert, so players must follow the Hilichurl and see where it’s going. Fortunately, the Hilichurl is not Caribert, but Eide still wishes to know where the creature is going. Enter the Unknown Sanctuary cavern, and eventually, the Protagonist will come across a puzzle before they can move forward.
To solve the Unknown Sanctuary domain puzzle inGenshin Impact, players must find three runes and restore them to their rightful place. For this, people may get confused over the fact that one of the mechanisms is hidden behind a locked gate, which blocks players from accessing it. Fortunately, the solution is quite simple. To enter the closed gate in the Unknown Sanctuary of the A Lamenter at Fate’s End quest inGenshin Impact, follow these steps.

Unknown Sanctuary Domain Guide In Genshin Impact
To unlock the locked gate in the Unknown Sanctuary domain of the A Lamenter At Fate’s Endquest inGenshin Impact, players must firstenter the purple portal across the first rune mechanism.
This will transport the player to the roof, with the entire room being upside down.Pick up the second rune then turn left and go up the stairs.
Use the open door mechanism, which unlocks the gate that was previously locked.
Next,return to the purple portal and go up the stairs on the right.
Enter the small room andclaim aGenshin ImpactExquisite Chestbeforemoving forward through the purple portal across the loot.
This will bring players inside the locked gate.Pick up the final rune, then glide down the door to place the three runes on the floor (in the middle of the place).
Successfully returning all three yellow runes will solve the Unknown Sanctuarypuzzle and trigger a small cutscene. From here, players will drop to the first room and meet a Cryo Abyss Lector. A fight will commence, soit’s a good idea to bring a counter for the Cryo shield, like Pyro and Electro.
All Chests In The Unknown Sanctuary In Genshin Impact
Other than the one Exquisite Chest behind the locked gate, there are three more Common Chests in theUnknown Sanctuary ofGenshin Impact. First, there’s a Common Chest near the Door of Resurrection. Those who missed it don’t have to worry since the room will be revisited in the Lector fight.
The second Common Chest is tough to miss since players should walk past it before entering the second purple portal. Note that this one can’t be revisited like the first Chest, so make sure to claim the loot before moving forward.
The final Common Chest is also easy to miss. It’s obtainableafter the Lector fight; before players open the large door. This Chest won’t be there on players’ second visit to the cavern when they follow Eide back, so make sure to take it.
