Genshin ImpactGenius Invokation TCG is a permanent mini-game released in patch 3.3. Players battle out against NPCs or against other players using a variety of cards representing aspects such as characters, weapons, and locations from theGenshin Impactworld. The game is fast-paced and incredibly strategic with anelemental reaction systemimplemented in it, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite ofGenshin Impactfans around the world.

Despite the playing deck putting more emphasis on the Character cards, Action cards are also equally important as they can turn the tide of the game and open up more strategies by making the characters stronger,healingthem, and much more. It is possible to obtain cards in a variety of ways, and having multiple copies of each card in your deck can provide the most optimal results with every card draw. There are currently three distinct types of Action cards: Equipment, Support, and Event cards. Each of these categories has its own set of unique properties and benefits that can be used in various ways.
Purchasing Cards From The Cards Shop
Players will find that the Cards Shop can be unlocked quickly upon finishing the quest “Battlefield of Dice, Cats, and Cards” and Diona’s tutorial. After talking to Prince, the Duel Saint of Cats, atThe Cat’s Tail tavern’s bar counter, players can choose the dialogue option to view the Card Shop’s Commodities. This will enable them to purchase a variety of items, such as cards, provisions to invite playable characters to obtain their Character cards, and dynamic skins for Character cards.
With this method, players can obtain most of the Action cards, however, it will cost a special currency for the TCG called Lucky Coins. In the early stages of the game, currency may be scarce, so it is advisable for players to hold onto their funds until they have determined which action cards are most valuable to purchase. Currently, players can purchase up to 35 Equipment cards, 19 Support cards, and 34 Event cards, with a maximum of 2 of each variant.
Completing Objectives
Genius Invokation TCG offers players a variety of challenges and objectives in various forms. These challenges give players the opportunity to earn rewards such as Lucky Coins, Action Cards, and Player EXP, and even unlock more Player Levels, similar to the Ascension Challenges. With these rewards, players can progress and improve their game-play experience.
Completing Objectives During Open World Match Challenges
Players will be able tochallenge various NPCs in each region. This option will be available to players after completing the tutorial, but as they progress in levels, they will be able to unlock more NPCs to battle with. Players can keep track of NPCs by using the Casket of Tomes, located in their inventories under the Gadget category. This will ensure players don’t miss any opponents. Some opponents have various challenges which may unlock at the same time(*) or at Player Level 10(**).

If players are only looking to obtain every card and are not interested in Lucky Coins, they should check the objective rewards before beginning. Not all NPCs will offer players an Action card as a reward, but if they do, it will usually require players to defeat their opponent within 5 turns.
Completing Objectives By Inviting Characters or Tavern Challenges
The main purpose of these functions is to obtainCharacter cards. Additionally, players who successfully complete all objectives can receive up to two Talent cards of the specific character. These Talent cards are a unique type of equipment cards, specifically designed for the character or monster they are associated with. When equipped, they canunlock powerful abilitiesfor the character, making them invaluable in battle. As such, they cannot be included in a deck unless the Character card they belong to is also equipped.
Completing TCG Player’s Manual Objectives
Players can access TCG Player’s Manual and Guest Challenges by clicking the icon beside the Event Overview Icon at the top of the screen once they are inside The Cat’s Tail tavern. Completing the challenges within this page will unlock additional copies ofpowerful Action cardssuch as “The Bestest Travel Companion!” and the “Paimon” card, which are not available through any other means. These objectives should be relatively straightforward to complete as players progress through the TCG mini-game and play as usual. Players can obtain rewards such as Primogems, Lucky Coins, and Blank Dynamic Cards, which can be used to unlock free Dynamic Skins for Character cards.
Can Players Unlock More Cards Via A Gacha System?
Genius Invokation is designed to be a beginner-friendlyand engaging mini-game in which players can acquire every card by progressing through it. Currently, there is no Gacha system, and thankfully, it is unlikely that one will be implemented in the future for the TCG. Players can expect to see additions of new cards withGenshin Impact’s upcoming patches, eventually leading to the inclusion of most (if not all) playable characters. Additionally, future events may bring new cards or other content to the game.
