A new Developer Discussion covering some changes coming inGenshin Impact’s Version 4.2 reveals several fixes aimed at streamlining several parts of the game. The update introduces thepreviously leaked “Quick Challenge” system for Trounce Domains, allowing players to challenge weekly bosses before clearing their associated story. Story Quests will see new optimizations as a part of the update, allowing players to unlock the character-focused quests without immediately accepting them. Locked Story Quests also show players the quests they will need to complete in order to unlock the quest.
Alongside the major updates to quests and bosses,Genshin Impactwill also make minor fixes both to the in-game map and Genius Invokation TCG. Players will notice a boost in the number of pins they can place on the in-game map, with the pin limit increased to 200, as well as the ability to batch-delete pins.Genius Invokation TCG is addingan “Accelerate Duel” function as part of the update, allowing players to speed up animations within theGenshin ImpactTCG.Genshin Impactis also adding the new “Deck Sharing Code” system to the TCG, granting the ability to easily share decks with others online.
Genshin Impact’s host of quality of life changes in Version 4.2 are expected to arrive alongside multiple major additions to the RPG.Version 4.2 will introduce two new charactersto the roster with the highly-anticipated pair of five-star Hydro Archon Furina and four-star unit Charlotte.
