Genshin Impactupdate 2.2 brought two banner re-runs meaning that there were no new five-star characters in the last couple of weeks. However, miHoYo’s official Version 2.3 Livestream has confirmed revealed two new characters we will see in update 2.3.

Banner re-runs have become very common in the world ofGenshin Impact, and it seems as though that every new update consists of two banners, a new character, and a banner re-run. The official live stream for update 2.3 has revealed the content players will get in the following update, including twonew playable characters Itto and Gorou.

Both characters are set to join the live servers on the second part of the upcoming update 2.3. This means that players will be able to pull for them in approximately three to four weeks. A credible leak on Reddit has revealed more about their gameplay including their English voice lines.

Arataki Itto has been leaked multiple timesover the last couple of months and players will finally have the opportunity to pull for him. This witty character has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to his interesting appearance and goofy behavior. Itto will most likely be a DPS character considering that his ascension attribute is Critical Damage, which already gives him a head-start in the DPS scale against most characters. When it comes to his Elemental Burst, it will provide a buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor’s or Beidou’s Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his Normal, Charged and Plunged attack to deal Geo damage.

It seems as though miHoYo has intentionally putGorou on the same banner as Ittobecause their abilities have very great synergy. Gorou’s whole kit is based on having multiple Geo users in his party. He is actually one of the weakest characters in the game if not paired with two one or two Geo characters.

Albedo will also be a part of the update which means that players will be able to assemble a whole Geo party in just one patch. He is one of the most underrated support characters since his impact is not as flashy as compared to other supports or sub-DPS characters like Zhongli. miHoYo’s most announcement has revealedanother Geo character, Yun Jin, who could also have great synergy with this team.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
