However, despite Gunn being tasked withrunning DC’s film division alongside Peter Safran, he still pulled out all the stops to ensure that his final directorial credit in the MCU would be memorable. One surprising addition toGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3is the inclusion of Strong, who has voiced several iconic characters over a lauded career spanning more than three decades. She is the ultimate franchise star in this respect with roles in Star Wars, DC, Disney, Cartoon Network, and even her previously mentioned role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Miss Minutes in the Disney PlusLokiseries. She revealed her involvement in a red-carpet interview withMarvel Entertainment.

In addition to Strong confirmingshe will return as Miss MinutesLokiseason 2, she also confirmed that she appears inGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3when an interviewer asked why she was at the premiere. “Well, I might be in it… It’s not Miss Minutes,” Strong responded. “I can’t say who it is, or… I could, but then I’d have to prune you… I’m going to turn back time with Miss Minutes.” The voice actress also commented on her relationship with Gunn, saying, “I’ve known James for a very long time. We did a video game together many, many years ago called Lollipop Chainsaw. Actually, Michael Rosenbaum was in it, too… I have a lot of great memories of [Gunn], so it was wonderful to see James in the studio again when I came into do my thing, and then just to see him again.”

Strong, whose talented voice will even feature on theonce-more delayed video gameSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, will be a welcome addition to and one of many apparent reasons whyGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3hits the mark as the final chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy film series and the directorial tenure of James Gunn in the MCU. While this is the case, the possibility that Strong’s character could even outlast the titular team isn’t too far-fetched, meaning MCU fans could potentially be graced by her talents beyondLokiseason two.
