Video game creator Hideo Kojima recently trolled fans ofP.T., the playable teaser forSilent Hills, on social media. Developed by Kojima Productions, theSilent Hillsdemo was released in 2014 as a free download for the PlayStation 4, and quickly gained a cult following among horror game fans.P.T.was meant to be an interactive teaser for Kojima’sSilent Hillgame, which was being made in collaboration with director Guillermo Del Toro. But following Kojima’s departure from Konami, the video game companycanceledSilent Hillsand removedP.T.from the PlayStation Store. Kojima himself seems to know that many fans are still asking for a followup, so he decided to troll them via a tweet that spelled out “PT.” This was meant to be a joke because the profile photo of thePoor ThingsTwitter account, which showed the letters “PT,” looked slightly similar to the horror game’s font.Poor Thingsis an upcoming film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, and will star Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, and Willem Dafoe.

In the replies, a number of gamers expressed their excitement over the possibleP.T.teaser. However, many seemed to know that Kojima was simply joking since they were aware of his strained relationship with Konami, but still hoped that he would push through with the horror game.
