After encountering the Centaurs, Poppy searches for a mysterious cave to find the special Moonstone inHogwarts Legacy. The former chief of the Centaurs sends both Poppy and the Protagonist on a quest to find this rare Moonstone that could possibly save Snidgets. Snidgets rare creatures hidden in a cave for ages and are about to be endangered because of poachers.
The Centaur and The Stone is a side quest that is part of the Poppy Sweeting quest series inHogwarts Legacy. Throughout this series, the Hufflepuff girl takes players on many exciting quests to rescue various types of Beasts.

The Centaur And The Stone Quest In Hogwarts Legacy
Players must enter the mysterious cave and find the Scholar’s Moonstone before the poachers to complete The Centaur and The Stonequest inHogwarts Legacy. To start off, teleport to the Irondale Floo Flame and head to the marked location to speak with Poppy. She reveals that the nearby cave is probably the one mentioned in the books she read, which seems to hold the special Moonstone.
Upon entering the Moonstone Garden, head south to the blocked entrance and use theDepulso spell inHogwarts Legacyto open it. Defeat the Cottongrass Dugbog and use the same spell again on the door to the east. Keep walking in the same direction until players reach a square room. Two Moths are needed to activate a mechanism that opens the gate.
How To Solve The Rune Puzzle Inside The Moonstone Garden
Similar to the rune puzzle in theIn the Shadow of Time quest inHogwarts Legacy,Players can only open the stone walls blocking the Moths by pulling the handles that match the symbols on the desired wall. The first Moth is behind the second wall on the left side. To open it:

Finally, cast Depulso on both butterfly mechanisms multiple times to open the gate. Once the gate is open, the Protagonist now faces a broken bridge leading to a locked Moth door.
How To Open The Moth Door In The Moonstone Garden
To open the Mothdoor inHogwarts Legacy, players must place three Moths in their slot on the door. To solve the puzzle:
Proceed further inside the cave and defeat the enemies. Then, swim in the water to dive into another section. The Protagonist will eventually arrive in a large clearing with a majestic tree that holds the Scholar’s Moonstone. The Centaur and The Stone quest concludes when the Moonstone is placed inside the henge and players witness the beautiful Mooncalf dance.
