Honkai: Star Railmight add another cute pet in a future update.According to a leak from h2tr_, unreleased character Topaz is rumored to have a pet Warp Trotter named Zhangzhang. In the game, Warp Trotters are docile hog-like enemies that randomly show up in battles, and would drop extra rewards once it’s defeated. Based on the leaked image, Zhangzhang will distinctly have a red bow tied to its tail.
No other details were revealed about Zhangzhang’s ability and role inHonkai: Star Rail’s story, but many players seemed excited to see them in game. One said they’re happy to learn something new about Topaz apart from her rumored kit. Meanwhile, some said Zhangzhang’s design so far was “underwhelming,” noting that they expected something with flames on it since Topaz is a Fire-element character. It’s important to note that thisHonkai: Star Railleak isn’t final, so players should take it with a grain of salt until HoYoverse makes an official announcement.
Ever since Peppy and Diting were introduced inHonkai: Star Rail, many players have expressed that they want pet companions that would follow them around in the game. They could be included as mere cosmetics, or they could help characters in combat. But as of now, HoYoverse hasn’t announced any plans to add pets, but hopes seem to be high among players, especially sinceGenshin Impactalready has pets likethe Oceanid Endora. It could take a while for the developer to bring this feature toHonkai: Star Railsince it’s mostly working on the game’s story and improving its features and overall experience, so players might have to wait patiently before they could get their adorable companions.
Honkai Star Railis available now on Mobile and PC, with a PlayStation version in development.
