Summary
For years,Dead by Daylighthas managed to maintain its relevancy, and a large part of its continued success can likely be attributed to its collaborations. Similar to other live service titles such asFortnite, exciting team-ups with established IPs has arguably been just as important as consistent post-launch updates. Recently,Dead by Daylight’s collaboration withAlienhas gotten fans talking about a partnership withPredator, as when one of these creatures appears, the other often follows. However, video game crossovers should also be considered for future Chapters.
Obviously, there is plenty of untapped potential in the world of TV and film when it comes to collaborations. The aforementionedPredatormakes perfect sense, as does content based on Stephen King stories likeIt. Still, the success of theSilent HillandResident Evilpacks will hopefully mean that Behaviour Interactive has more video game collabs in the works. While there are many options to consider, a few stand out as being particularly good fits for theDead by Daylightformula.

One of the most timely collaborationsDead by Daylightcould look into is a partnership withRemedy Entertainment.Alan Wake 2is set to be a proper survival horror game, meaning that it will likely feature at least one enemy that would work well as a killer. Obviously, the real star of the DLC pack would be the titular writer, as Alan Wake himself would make a top-notch survivor. One of his abilities could see him buffing the team’s flashlights, leaning into a unique mechanic from the originalAlan Wake. Additionally, new protagonist Saga Anderson could be a special skin for Alan that adds some unique dialogue.
Slightly less timely, but still fairly relevant since the latest entry in the series released earlier this year, isDead Space. Obviously, series protagonist Isaac Clarke would be the only valid choice for a survivor. For his perks, Behaviour could somehow work his skills as an engineer into the mix, giving him buffs to generator repairs. Working his iconic stomp into the mix could be funny, too, with Isaac potentially having special crates that look like the ones aboard theUSG Ishimurato stomp for some unique loot. Speaking of the USG Ishimura, it would make a terrific map, especially if a Necromorph killer were patrolling it. As for which Necromorph could fit this role, the Hunter would stand out due to its regeneration.
Another option to consider would beOutlast. WhileOutlasthas expanded into the multiplayer genre itself withThe Outlast Trials, it would still be interesting to see what a collaboration could entail. Perhaps a killer - whether it be Father Loutermilch or Richard Trager - could force all the survivors into a first-person perspective. This could throw off even experienced players who think they know the game’s maps well, and it could be a gateway to a proper first-person mode down the line.
One final option is a bit unlikely given how the series is essentially dormant. However, with its main inspirationResident Evilgetting so much love through two separate Chapters, it would be nice to seeThe Evil Withinfranchiseget some time to shine. A collaboration could even get the ball rolling on a new game, something fans have been holding out hope for. There are several options for killers, such as the ghostly Anima and the disturbing artist Stefano, though the Keeper is likely the most iconic figure. For a survivor, the no-brainer option of Sebastian Castellanos would be the right call.
There is a bright future ahead forDead by Daylight, as even high profile actors likeNicolas Cageare getting involved with the game. Hopefully, the continued success of the title will result in more partnerships, especially with other video games. From maps like the USG Ishimura to terrifying killers like Anima, there is so much great content that can come from Behaviour Interactive working with other developers.
