The Yahata Lighthouse can be located at the northernmost point ofIki IslandinGhost of Tsushima, directly north of Fort Sakai. Players don’t need to complete the main story of Iki to reach this location and will be able to light a fire at the top of the lighthouse as soon as they reach it.
Unlike most other lighthouses in the game, the Yahata Lighthouse doesn’t allow Jin to simply climb to the top using a ladder. No, the building is dilapidated and broken down, and players will need to find an alternative route to the top.
How to Light Up the Yahata Lighthouse in Ghost of Tsushima
The front entrance is blocked and boarded up by wooden planks. To reach the top, players will have toscale the walls of the lighthouse. To do so, circle around to the left using the path marked with the broken stairs and look for handholds marked with white paint. Jump while facing the handhold; Jin will automatically latch onto it and start climbing. Shimmy left and keep going up until you reach a point where the path stops.
Press the jump key and hold the interact button to throw theIron Hookto latch onto the grapple point on the top. Climb up the rope, and you’ll find yourself in the upper chamber. Interact with the fire to light the brazier and complete the objective. You will receive aMinor Legend Increaseas a reward.
If you’ve already achieved Legacy Redeemer rank on Iki Island, completing points of interest on the map will not result in any more increase in Legend.
To get back down, players can either use the same path they took to get to the top or use the ladder. On the first landing, press the interact button near the edge of the broken flooring to grapple downward. There is aRecord of Ikion the mat in the center of the room, along withsome supplies, linen, and a chest. Use the Iron Hook on the boarded-up door, and Jin will be able to yank loose a plank, opening a path to the outside.
A grapple point on the edge of the canopy of the lighthouse allows you to climb to the very top of the lighthouse. However, there are no items of interest up there.
