Pokemon GOplayers are getting a very busy few weeks ahead of them, with aCommunity Day Extravaganza scheduled for Decemberand three new Swords of Justice Legendary Pokemon arriving to shake up the meta.
Pokemon GOplayers will want to collect Terrakion, one of the three new Legendaries, as quickly as possible with an effective counter. Terrakion is a good Rock-type, with a high number of weaknesses, but also boasts a large attack stat.

Terrakion is the best of the three new Legendaries - Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion. It has the Smack Down/Rock Slide moveset alongside some decent stats, making Terrakion the second-best Rock-type Pokemon in the game after Rampardos.
Hailing fromUnova Region, Terrakion’s Five-Star Raid Battle is available as of November 26.
Terrakion’s stats are not the best when compared to other legendaries, but they get the job done. It has an attack of 260, Defense of 192, and Stamina at 209.Terrakion’s vulnerabilities are Fairy, Fighting, Grass, Ground, Psychic, Steel, and Water type attacks. Players should stay away from Bug, Dark, Fire, Normal, Poison, and Rock attacks to deal damage, as Terrakion will shrug of blows from these types of Pokemon.
Terrakion has a high attack, so fielding a Pokemon with good defense is a must. The best counter possible is Mewtwo with a large psychic charge attack. A special Psystrike Mewtwo will make quick work of Terrakion. The second-best option is Metagross, with its powerful Steel and Psychic attacks and high defense. Meteor Mash is a great move for taking out Terrakion. Other effective choices for those who don’t have a Mewtwo or Metagross include Alakazam, Dialga, Espeon, Jirachi, Kyogre, Latios, and Machamp.
Because of its numerous weaknesses, Terrakion should be relatively easy to defeat and add to any player’s collection. However, this is a double-edged sword. Once in the player’s collection, Terrakion will be subject to the same weaknesses. Its high attack should be able to make it useful enough, though. With thenew ability to purchase more inventory space, there is no reason not to collect Terrakion and all of its legendary compatriots.
Once that’s done, players can startpreparing for the upcoming Community Dayand keep their eyes out for any new upcoming raids.
